Confused Over Which Id/contractor To Select

Recommended Posts

It all depends on the ID person. Prices is all depend on the company. Getting a good ID company is not easy and getting a good ID person is even harder.

I don't like expo ID as well. They are expensive!

Luckily one of my friend recommended me his ID contractor and he was excellance. Was very satify with him. Patient, punctual, good worksmanship etc. I don't wanna say too much because don't want ppl to think that I'm promoting in here.

PM me if anyone is interested in my contractor. I am more then willing to share. <img src="http://www.renotalk.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Hi can PM the contacts. thanks

Expo people are all there to 'tok' our money. i went there and spend 2 hours with the ID from different firms to collate ideas before going to my current ID which is not from a big firm but in this industry for very long liao. She added more ideas & creativity to the ideas i gave & it out turns out well, my reno for my 4 rm flat in punggol is about to complete in another 5 days, looking forward to my dream home with my hubby & kids!

A good & patient + affordable ID is important. They must be there to hear your woes & put clients as pirority lor!

Anyway, PM me if you guys need the contact of my ID.

Regards

Ki

Hi

I don't mean to be rude but the link looks like an advertising portal.

If your home is done by Home Renovation, why not recommend them to your brother inlaw instead of advertising the link for Home Renovation?

Is it becox Home Renovation hasn't done a good job? Or???

Yes, I agree quite a few posts in this thread look suspicious. Those who join Renotalk merely to post recommendations (after 1 or 2 posts) assume forum readers are dumb! But luckily forum readers are not dumb; many in fact are able to separate genuine posts from fake ones. Reading thru this thread shows many readers are not taking the bait, bravo *applause* :yamseng: Who are the id's fooling? Our forum readers are smarter than they think!

So those poor but lazy IDs who get their friends or associates to post fake recommendations should wake up their idea and work harder to get genuine recommendations. Unless they deliver good performance, no client with integrity will recommend. Goodness, we've to watch out for ourselves, coz every business these days (hawkers, dept stores, electrical stores, etc) is targeting the consumer - jacking up prices at every chance and forgetting customer service and good honest work.

So - yes, trust and ask forumers who have T-Blogs to show, warts and all, the reno progress of their homes. Even then, read their posts and you'll be able to tell the genuine posters from the fake ones - even if some IDs were to fake T-blogs too!

Dear all, we are new here. Had just sealed our 1st appointment for a 5 rm resale flat.

Had been going to a few IDs but when they asked for our budget, we were given "that" look. After paying off our savings for COV, definitely we have to budget right. With a new born in hand n a 3yrs old son, we need to be mindful of our expenditure.

One of the some of the IDs when heard of our budget, took out the package pricing list for 2 toilets n kitchen n added, only selected tiles..... The other tiles, deco tiles need to add extra will blow up ur budget.... And keep on looking at the door for ppl. When we were at the showroom, we were only told this is not your package n need to add extra....

So uncalled. We are new n inexperience but what to do.... We ve to learn on our own thru asking quotations....

As we get to know these few hidden cost, when probe further during quotation we were told, " or u want that... Need to add extra.... "

Hope anyone can forward me the contacts of reliable n tolerable IDs... My wife is hoping for an ID who can advice us on our budget criteria rather than showing us that look that we are not impt customer....

hi fiznniz

i suggest u read up on the experiences of other posters who hv had bad experience with id/contractor, despite the recommendation obtained from forummers. best is to listen carefully to the id's talk and decide how much u can trust him. ask him lots of questions, tire him out, and see how he respond, whether he is patient or has a temper. my blog offers advice and suggestions on what u can do or how to renovate yr flat. read blogs from other renotalk forummers too, but please do not simply accept recommendation, some of which can be faked. You got to use yr own best judgement as u seem to be a sensible and intelligent guy, judging from yr post!

All the best and congrats on yr 5-rm flat selection! :yamseng:
