Hi

The official move-in date is the most important

this is similar to

business official opening/ ceremonial date

a person's bazi (his or her first breath)

tats why need to consult the pros on this very important date

the official opening day, move-in day, birthday, all signifies the Chi-blueprint of that particular

year, month, day, time

date and time selection is as important as the fengshui of the place

so it is ok to renovate, or do stuff even in the 7th month and many practised to move-in after the 7th month

rolling of fruits are symbolic and does not affect any chi quality of the house, ya?

if it feels good, just do it

my fsm did the door opening for me as he came to audit my house on that day.

just use 4 oranges, 1 pineapple and a packet of candies. open door, roll 4 oranges into 4 corner of living room. roll in pineapple. then go in. before leaving, scatter candies in all rooms of the house. come back 3 days later to remove the items.

oh, shout "huat ah" when rolling in oranges and pineapple

How come no stove to 生火 before entering?

Philosophy behind is: different ppls practice different ways over same subject.

Since doing difference ways of same subject, appeared to be acceptable and ok to all households, then why don't just following your own creative yet memberable ways to mark the event, instead of spending $$$ to "hear this & that", follow and do something which make you blur blur and wondering and fear of "correct or not". Correct?

Outside your door, first day after you get your keys.

Maybe Cantonese practice that, I'm not sure of other dialect groups.

You can easily get this from hardware shops.

Just burn some charcoal, say some auspicious words and walk over it.
