Is Multi Point Heater Good? Any Recommendation?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am thinking of getting a multi storage heater instead of a storage heater for my new flat?

The salesperson if my common and MRB toilet are back to back, I can just install one multi point heater to facilitate the usage in both bathroom provided that both bathroom must have mixer.

Has anyone use Multi point heater before? Is it good? Any brand to recommend and how much is roughly one?

Thanks.

Hi guys who have experienced multi point heaters, please help to give your opinions on this. I recently saw cornel brand for multi point heaters which can support two bathrooms and kitchen instantly. Any advice would help or if storage heater is really better let us know, thanks in advance

I remember the thread content was about disatisfaction about the flow/heat of the shower. From what I understand it is best to use the hose and shower head provided by Benington as the heater is well matched to this shower head. I have installed such a C600 heater unit in my flat but I only plan to use it for the bathroom vanity units and kitchen sink as these will rarely be on at the same time and don't require high flow rates. Can't judge the performance as still under reno currently but don't see why they should be better or worse than any other brand. I have still installed a Joven 25 L storage heater for the common use of the 2 shower units.

By the way, I asked some questions via email of the Benington customer service and the reply was prompt and technically competent so you could also direct your queries to them via their webbie.

after deliberating for some time, the wife and I decided that we do not want to have to wait 15-30mins for hot water so storage heater is out of the question. but still deciding between 2 instant heaters vs 1 multipoint heater.. dont think much people are using multipoint heaters as was unable to find much feedback on this?

Regretted buying the Cornell Multi-purpose heater CIS-S100MP at $330. The heater leaked soon after it was installed, and we called the repairman to come and repair. Then after 8 months, the heater spoiled and we have to endure cold showers over the weekend while waiting for the repairman to come. After the repairman changed the heating element, there was hot water but the heater was leaking again! Very irritated by such over-priced lousy product!!!

SO far my Bennington C600 multi point heater is doing good. I installed it last May during my Reno. However, you will still need to wait 3-5min for the water to get heated and travel to my bedroom bathroom. It was installed in the common toilet so need to wait longer...

I regret too!! it's so stupid that it kept on leaking & the thermostat kept on over heat & it tripped my whole house twice. It's very frustrating as I have a baby in the house who needs warm water n so is our kid who goes to school in the morning. I had repaired it 6th time n complained to Cornell asking for an exchange or refund. in the midst of this whole ****ty thingy.... ask back the shop that sell this at Jurong IMM bldg, shop name Chong Ying mentioned that they cant do anything, no refund no nothing.. wth!!!

Hi Pgol12... Glad I've found someone with the same fate as me. Some forum users think I am making things up. My Cornell heater broke down for the 5th time last night and I am so pissed that I am going to look for a storage heater now

And yes... I also bought it from Chong Ying at IMM at quite a steep price... Now also like u. Got a baby and confinement nanny who need warm water and it just broke down at this critical period. Hope the manufacturer will wake up after seeing all these unhappy feedback
