Rust Stains In Toilet Bowl

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I found a piece of rusted metal in my toilet bowl when I collected keys for my flat. When I removed the metal piece, there was rust stain in the bowl. May I know how to remove the stains?

Have you tried pouring bleach into the toilet bowl? Or is your toilet bowl colored (i.e. not white)? Haha, wow, that sounds racist.

Empty the toilet bowl of water and then pour acid on it. Should be able to remove the stain.

Cheers!

You can empty the WC by using a sponge to soak up all the water. The first step is to first clean it.

Buy the acid from hardware shops.

Don't use acid if you're not familiar with it's use. Asides from the safety issue, if not at the right concentration it will cause ugly discoloration which can't be cleaned.

Where to get a pumice stone?

empty the bowl and use jif/cif to scrub. it can take some time but eventually the rust stains will come out.
