Rewiring Motors

Recommended Posts

Am thinking of restoring a vintage electric fan. Used to run until it burnt out. Think that the motor burnt itself out. Anyone know of a place where i can rewire it?

Cheers

Hi pal,

I dun know wat u meant by rewiring the motor, if to rewire motor you need to go to motor manufactuer to do it, furthermore there isn't any spec so it's abit diff even if there is somebody that can rewire the motor.

If it's to rewire the wires in the fan, then it's not advisable as it will burnt again.

May also catch fire.

When the fan motor is burn out/faulty

The cause will be one of the followings:-

1) Motor shaft jam/stuck, not moving.

2) The winding of the motor is too hot

3) Short circuit of component/winding

4) Thermal fuse operates

Hope this helps
