Toile Bowl - Baron Vs Maclaire

Recommended Posts

Advise needed. I'll be having my bathrooms renovated in a month time and had been looking around for bathroom wares.

I was recommended to a shop along Jaln Berseh and they carry Maclaire 1 piece toilet bowl to my liking but the cost was $300+

Recently I chanced upon Genova having this $388 super deal (consist of sink, mixer tap and Baron 1 piece toilet bowl - identical looking with the Maclaire).

Hence comparing with the pricing at Jalan Berseh, all in all including sink, mixer tap and toilet bowl (1 piece) would cost be around $500+.

As I've already selected other items from Jalan Berseh shop, I intent to check with this shop in Jln Berseh to justify the different.

What I've been told was that Baron toilet bowl tends to be inferior and they too can order a piece for me, but will not provide any warranty to

the mechanicsim. It now gives me an impression that Maclaire is a better product than Baron??

However I would like to hear from the gurus here if that is really the case. Hope to hear the experts opinion and thank you in advance.

Maclaire is a local brand and I think it's better.

Baron is popular among the budget conscious and I dont know where is it made, since it does not even have a website. Heard of complaints from forum that there is bad smell issue..

I will go for Maclaire.
