My Em Modern Balinese Concept At Serangoon North

Recommended Posts

Toiletries

Yesterday, visited both Sim Siang Choon & Hupfarri, below are my personal summary pointers;

Sim Siang Choon - Changi South

1) Allow to note down the pricing (ikea concept)

2) Wide range of varieties to see

3) Price quite reasonable

4) All price include GST

5) Fixed retail price tab (not sure, need to check again any discount given) but exclude installation

6) Material and quality, seem ok with me

7) Delivery??/ forgot to ask…..

8) Display showroom at changi south about half of football field size

Hupfarri - Changi Road

1) Not allow to note down the pricing

2) Limited range of varieties than SSC but design wise is quite nice

3) Price quite reasonable on certain items

4) All price exclude GST

5) Can less discount on the stated retail price tab but exclude installation

6) Material and quality, seem ok with me

7) Delivery will take 3-4 working days

8) Display showroom about ¼ of SSC changi south showroom

Also visited tap Gallery and Living Phenomenal along Balestier, both have same varieties as Hupfarri.

For Poh Seng, Poh Joo, GR Link along Jalan Besar did not visit them

For Heritage, Bacera along Geyland also did not visit them.

Likely to buy the items from SSC and Hupfarri…..

Last Sat visited MGL to chose curtains and blinds after much review on the net. So decide to give a try...

Upon reaching there, parked at the basement car park, took the lift to level 1 since there isn't level 2 button. Then walk up the stairs, saw Night Club, KTV all over the plaza :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop: , wonder is it the correct level or place. In the end, found it, located along the main road just outside the bus stop.

Below are the items selected

1)Dining Area - Roman Curtain

2)Utility Room - Blackout Blind

3)Bedroom 2 - Wooden Blind

4)Bedroom 3 - Blackout Blind with design pattern

5)MBR - Day Curtain + Wooden Blind

6)Living Room - Day Curtain (Balinese Style)

7)Balcony - Outdoor Bamboo Chick

MGL - Quote $3300

Azo-- - Quote $4100

JT - Quote $3600

Did not visit the rest of the shops, imagine spending min 2 hours on each shop, likely kenna dehydration if shop more

In the end, signed with MGL due to few reasons after spending 2.5 hrs in there;

1) Price :good:

2) Patience

3) Show us many design as we requested for Balinese Style Concept

4) 2 weeks delivery and installation

5) Explain on Pro & Con

Sound like the electrical shop I went to, which I oso park at the basement cp for free. My ID brought me there and when we arrived, he call the lady to open gantry and let us park our car.

The shop name is Kenzie opp the Singapore lighting mart. FYI, balestier lighting all r expensive, that shop quote my house lighting at 6K and later reduce to 4400, I req for further discount to 4K and she refuse, so I ended up not buying.

Later I went to this lighting shop at Jurong East, the boss (couple) was very nice and I bought the same light at 3K only, see price so much different.

Pls do more checking before buying. If u want the ctc for the electrical shop, let me know & I will pm u.
