Old buildings, esp those oriental temples, door kerbs can be seen "everywhere", purpose? Most likely served to "curb" dust, strayed leaves, etc from entering into, not fs.If a door kerb can really prevent "good stuff" from escaping out, then, on the other hand, it could as well stop "good stuff" from entering, so....should view it from practical point of view.
