Advice Needed On Covering Of Floor Trap Below Kitchen Sink

Hi all, I have a L shaped kitchen & my sink is located at the shorter L side. My washing machine is located juz besides the sink. All water from the sink & washing machine drains to a common pipe & the floor trap is located in the cabinet beneath the sink. This floor trap has been covered up by a piece of thin plywood. My kitchen cabinet sits on a cement base.

My question is: is this the correct way to position the floor trap? After removing the plywood cover, I realised due to water vapour, it has turned mouldy. How should I prevent this or should I use another material to cover the floor trap?

Really appreciate your advise or how it's being done in your home. Thanks all

Same for me

Floor trap below kitchen sink is covered by a piece of removable wood

And the surrounding area is getting mouldy

My contractor also use a removable wood to cover the floor trap.

I notice there are some mould at the surface that face the floor trap of the removable wood.

I went to buy a anti mosquito valve to place at the floor trap and use that wood to cover trap

I think we have the same situation as yours, except our outlet is under the fridge.

Trapdoor under fridge

The tiler used a piece of leftover tile from the renovation to cover over the floor trap.

But if you did not keep any, I suppose any other tile is better than plywood.

Try to go to the location, where contractors buy their hardwares.
