3 Room Corner In West Coast Vista

Recommended Posts

Happy New Year to everyone. I've been a lurker in this forum and procrastinator when it comes to blogging.

Since it's the New Year I thought I should start a T-blog and share about the past two months of insane moving/renovation/decision overload that has been taking place.

We sold our 4I corridor unit (82 sq m) last year and started looking to move closer to the parents due to our toddler child-care needs, but the prices of 5 room flats in the Clementi area is just erm, mindboggling.

After much consideration, we decided on a 3 Room Modified Corner unit in West Coast, since it's also 82 sq m but we have a budget now to configure it to our own needs. It's kinda downgrading to upgrade(since it's no longer corridor!).

Looking forward to sharing our journey with you all!

You don't like corridor unit? LOL. 3.5rm with 82sqm is equivalent to some 4rm unit except it has 2 bedrooms. Looking forward to more of your reno pictures!

Yup, gd buy! Viewed a corner unit when I was scouting. Too bad the offered COV was beyond my budget. The common room is VERY LONG... ;)

Yes, we liked the old HDB layout and this flat is super long. The long common room gave us the flexibility another room (study) out of it, or a guest room when grandma bunks over.

This was the initial idea for the design but since it has morphed along the way.

Given we had a short time to buy/renovate a flat ( expecting our second child), we needed to get a contractor fast.

Having worked with Bara Interior for our previous flat, we wanted to go again with them but this time round their quote was above our budget ($40K).

Our good friend then recommended her contractor to us, and we found ID Note's quote very competitive at $32k.

After speaking to Henry and Jonathan, we decided to go with them as they met our budget requirements as well as time frame, as well as adding in the feature wall TV console and wardrobes which wasn't offered by the other company.

Here are some photos of the hacking:

They were on schedule and prompt with the hacking works and finished it in two days.

Will share my experience working with them in the next post!
