Hi Eunice, absolutely no hacking involved.

The expert just use a special machine to inject a special waterproofing compound/chemical into the wall, flooring and seak off all visible gaps. It took him 4hrs to complete the job.

I am so glad the company didn't charge me anything.

Just to update u guys.

The contractor came earlier and check if it conceal pipe leaking. Heng is not.. Otherwise hacking work will be a nightmare to me.

However, they suspect it maybe due to waterproofing problem. So they will schedule another day to hack away the affected area, put chemical and plaster back the wall.

The whole process must take 3 days to complete.

The uncle doesn't look like an expert to me.

Aiyo.. Different from Potatoe experience of 4hrs without hacking.

Wooh.... 3 days for waterproofing is long. I think hacking of affected parts needed if leakage is very serious....like affecting the ceiling of the lower floor. Sorry, I m not in a position to advise u.....let the experts decide. I am disappointed with my ID for not supervising his workers during my reno, which is almost coming to 2yrs.

Hi eunice, sorry to hijack your thread as well as reactivate the topic.

Hi potatoes, I'm now having the same issue like yours...done by the same ID firm...!

The water is now seep into my "engineered wood" floor and come out from there.

May I know your contractor is it the tiler or plumber? My ID got the tiler to take a look this Saturday.

Just an update here for anyone who keen to know more.

The tiler came and apply QUICSEAL 107 on the bathroom.

After a month. It seems the water seepage issue is now resolved.

I wonder how it looks like behind the wooden skirting's water stain.

I decided to take out the skirting and here what I found.

After requested for solution from the ID, I've been waiting for two weeks (and still waiting) from the tiler or whoever to update me.

Knowing that they might be busy with new projects, but I don't think a simple update by giving a date to visit to my house for further inspection or apply solution will be that difficult.

My civil engineer friend shared with me, mostly the floor outside the toilet is always higher.

Mine is different. The toilet floor higher than the floor in the room.

This is one of the main reason (provided the water will seep through the tile) why the water seep into my room, or if not it will then seep down to my lower floor neighbour's ceiling.

What about you guy's one?

I have similar situation as you and have shared my pic with you. My contractor came and rectified the water seepage problem for me today......it has to do with poor water proofing. The worker re waterproof the flooring and walls by pumping in a certain chemical into the surface. As of now, it seems alright. Hope everything will be good after this.

I also suspected as much

Hi guys, we are a S-ONE Technologies, a Waterproofing Specialist company.  As of now, we have accumulated up to 30 years of experience and has helped countless home owners solve the issues you guys have mentioned above.

As opposed to hacking, drilling and any further destruction of property, we now use Chemical Flood Infusion which basically allows our chemical to seep in the substrates of the structure and crystallize, thereby stopping and preventing further leakages.

If you're interested in our services, please feel free to call or message 90185559 for a FREE consultation!
