So so super duper happy today! Hacking permit finally approved by HDB and ID already made so many arrangements and updated us. Hacking could be tomorrow/Monday and electrical wiring is this Saturday. We are meeting him this Saturday to discuss kitchen carpentry details and other progress.

It feels great to see that things are in good hands!

Tired of calling the HDB technical officer. We went to the house in the evening and yay! Sand placed in all rooms. Guess they will start the cement screeding very soon. Hacker may drop by on v-day, hope there is no conflicts. ID said he may go down personally to check.

Id went down today and said they cannot start work since sand is everywhere. Hope next week major works can be done! Will share some photos of the actual house over the weekend.

Went to meet the window installer today to take measurements, they are installing the service yard window next Saturday. Hoo-ray! But low-light is HDB's contractor "eat" snake again. We (including ID) are frustrated with the delay by HDB, everything is on hold because of them. Praying hard that they will handover the house before Friday so hacking and electrical wiring can be done this week. In the meanwhile, ID met us to finalise carpentry details today.

Laminates!

I chose everything few weeks back but ID brought all the chosen laminates for final confirmation this evening.

This is for the living and dining area - was contemplating between greyish tone and this but eventually chose this :) ID said great choice and it will turn out nice. *Photo isn't right, actual is cream with brown grains*

For Master & baby bedroom - Trying something different here and since our furniture all white, shouldn't go too wrong......This photo doesn't do justice to the beautiful colour and grains!

Study room - Darker tone to hide dirt! Kidding...Just want a more "serious" look to this room

Last but not least..... for the Kitchen! White is for Top and the "Piano Gloss" is for bottom cabinets + Tall unit/counter table --> Fabrication will start next week ... weee!

Here is a better photo of Piano Gloss....

A fruitful weekend I must say!

We had quite a bit of discussion with ID on Sat and he suggested to lay tiles to the exposed wall of the to-be-constructed half wall in kitchen. So we went Soon Bee Huat @ Changi today.

Oh boy.... we were so overwhelmed! Thank God, ID gave us our tall unit's laminate to match the wall tiles. We are not designers nor do we have any idea what to choose.... but we managed to choose this among the thousands of selections... It was again a love at first sight. Heee... so many love at first sight for this "project" :D

Can't wait for things to move hence we plan to bombard Mr. Never-Answers-Calls from HDB on Monday!!!:yeah:
