Sorry, I have been away from the PC... All PM replied and my inbox is cleared!

Hi there,

I am interested on the blinds which you have ordered ~ May i know do you measure the exact size of the windows will do? Do i need to give extra allowance?

Thanks

Hi, measure the exact size + 3cm. Max width of blind is only 1.5m so I had to order 2x for the windows. Do take note and read the FAQ on the seller's page. Good luck! :D

Hi, the battery given by the supplier is hopeless la. I replaced them with Energizer, so far 1.5mths still very bright. Don't know how long it will last since I just got them in March =)

Hello supermama!

Ur home look super cosy!

Have u move in already? Any feedback on the type of flooring u used?

I've read review on evorich laminate flooring feels warm when u walked on it.

I'm considering between laminate flooring and wood looking tiles!

Another question is what type of surface top are u using for ur kitchen?

Thanks for ur input!

Hi, I havent move in yet, baby has been very sick past weeks...Hmm, not too sure abt Evorich, my flooring is Kronoswiss laminate, not vinyl. It does feel a tad warm during daytime. If you have the budget, consider opting for woodtiles for longer durability. Laminate is not ideal for whole house imho.

My kitchen surface is just simple solid surface, nothing fancy.

Love the placement of your clock .. How do you stick it there?

I am hanging it over the BS vent, using Command metal hanger. This one -http://www.command.com.sg/wps/portal/3M/en_SG/APACCommand/Home/Products/Catalog/~/Command-Sticky-Nail-Sawtooth-Hanger?N=3294529204+5924736+3294774821&rt=rud

Thank you very much for the info!

I haven start shopping around.. So would like to ask if u are aware of how the price difference between wooden tiles and laminate flooring?

And why not laminate flooring for the whole house?

I thought it's a good alternative to parquet!

Sorry no idea lei - my laminate is about $5 psf inclusive of material and labour. Remember my ID mentioned that tiles is at least $8psf for tiles up to $3.50psf. You have to check with your contractor on this. I think some forumers bought the $2.70psf woodtiles from China, perhaps you can do some research and check that out =)

IMO and experience, laminate flooring doesn't seem to take impacts that well. My family member dropped a tool on the floor and.... ARGH! Floor has a small hole now!!! Haven't ask my ID on how to fix that... Other than this, the entire look is great.

If I have more budget, I would definitely go for tiles.

Thanks for the clock tip. I was thinking of fixing it like this to hide the ugly metal.

Great to see you had done it.

You really brought "budget" to the next level.
