Renovation Day 64 - 21 June

Some more updates for carpentry works.

Granite tops up for kitchen tables + hob put in place too! (This pic is abit blur)

The other side :)

Toilet vanity carcasses both up.

MBR toilet

Common toilet

Initially wanted the common toilet vanity cabinet to be flushed to the wall on the left, so there's no gaps between the toilet wall and the vanity.. but it cannot be done as the toilet door will hit the vanity cabinet door :(

Finally... my bomb shelter mirrored tic tac door.

Just a quick question, if you guys refer to the picture of my kitchen above, does my granite top look too thin? Or is this normal?

Hi jia wen

Depends on whether you like thick or thin table top.

One of the ID share with me that nowadays thin looks more modern.

Thicker ones looks like olden days kitchen.

However, I still prefer depth of 2 cm or 4 cm.

But thicker one is more expensive so have to see what your Id quote you.

Thanks Giselle, my ID just updated it's 2cm thick. Prob it just doesn't look so from the pic..

Didn't know that we can choose the thickness of the granite top till I went to google more last night. Always thought it comes as a thick slab haha!

My hubby looked at the pic and prefers it thin n not so chunky though, so I guess it works out well for us..

One a side note: For those considering granite top, may be good to confirm the thickness of the top when your ID quote you for it.. Just in case your preference and what the ID provides differ!
