Hi Raydon,

Mind sharing with me how much your ID quote you for this style of kitchen cabinets? I'm looking to do the same country style like yours but I keep getting super high quotes from a lot of IDs.

Btw what is the total length of your kitchen cabinets top and bottom too?

Love your kitchen!!!:) wish I can do the same for mine too.

Hi Chilarvet,

Thanks!! :) I think there are many ways to do this kind of cabinets.

Mine is paint ( for the frame) and laminate for rest. the bad side for paint is that it may turn yellow-ish and/or sticky if not maintained properly.

My kitchen cabinet cost me about S$6.2k.

The sink & stove side is 23.5ft total for top and bottom.

The opposite side is 8ft bottom.

iQuartz table top 18.5ft

my contractor did gave me further discount based on the whole package...

You are so right ... maybe I'm used to top-mount sink all these while. When I compared the one I bought with the old top sink, it's bigger but looked so small when mounted under the counter-top ... sigh ... cannot change liao.

i feel your pain.. and there is nothing we can do.... haiz...

Good taste for taps. Ceiling fan doesn't compliment your design and the wardrobe looks very ikea. Hope your colour scheme turns out well.

thanks for the compliment and suggestions. i hope so too.

Saw yr post at most thread. Are u here to create trouble by insulting everyone?

Hi bizkid79, cheers~

I like how you matched ur coffee table and TV console together. :)

Nice and simple table too. Did you unpack and fix all by yourself? Tempted to buy from taobao my tv console and dining table too. But worried about the quality if it is sturdy enough?

Any comments on yours?

Thanks

Hi chilarvet! thanks!

Yes, I unpack and fixed it all by myself. There are no instructions given, but luckily its quite straight forward.

The quality it quite good. The wood is heavy and steady.

The downside, though, is the damages due to shipment.

took some photo of the damages.

but i guess i can live with it.

for the coffee table, i'll try sand it and paint it white.

Raydon, call a contractor to take a look at this, the pipe is much closer to the wall then we think and it actually is 'touching' the wall on the other side. The cement must have 'leak' it across.

There might be a small leak. If the contractor can identify the actual area of the leak, it will be a small job.

hope this helps.

Hi benetay, thanks for the prompt reply!

I'm actually using city gas heater.

this is how the pipe run behind this wall (taken from my toilet)

since this is done by hdb, should i call my contractor or HDB?

Hi, depending on how fast you want it to be done. We have contacted HDB contractors before and their response are fast, just that the timing etc if i would have a choice wouldn't want to call them. Outside contractor do faster, but more expensive.

After a year, they will still charge you at market rate. This actually is unacceptable to have leakage inside a wall but before we jump to conclusion, i would firstly call the HDB contractor arrange a time and let them diagnose. concurrently you can ask your previous contractor that does plumbing for 2nd opinion.

Then you can decide.

the 'mold' area is cooler to touch compared to the surrounding?
