For shoe racks, you can shop around at various furniture shops, including places like Defu Furniture etc. You might be surprised what you can find at your neighbourhood furniture shop. For example, I bought my shoe-rack from a shop located in Marine Parade.

I bought 2 of them and used them as a divider in the living room. Cost is about $240 each, I think.

After using the shoe cabinet for a few months, any issues with humidity & smell? As a matter of fact, would appreciate if those who did built-in shoe cabinets can comment, because my concerns are the apparent lack of ventilation for cabinets without some kind of louvre (old-fashioned, I know) or opening around it.

Finally ordered my shoe rack from AMK Ave 10, they have the widest selection I've seen so far It's called DK Furnishing and located along the row of shophouses where Pine Garden Cake Shop is. Friendly staff as well. They don't have everything on display so remember to ask for the catalogue.
