Finally I will be collecting my BTO FLATS keys in 1-2 months time after 3 years of waiting.

Was really happy and glad that the wait is over. Any BTO owner would like to share their same sentiment and joy as well as any renovation pointers to share.

I had started to look for renovation contractor to renovate my new house.

What is the difference between renovation contractor with drawing and one without drawing?

Will the charges be the same?

Please advice s this is my matrimonial home and want to keep within budget.

Thanks a million

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

Hi Mr Teo,

I don't have any contractor yet.

I had google search and found a few bto packages.

Mine unit is a 4 room HDB flat, some of the website listed from $10k to $15k. Other quoted me $30k to $40k

Can anyone please guide me on how to attach my floor plan into this topic?

I had my floor plan in my laptop.

Hi Mr Teo,

Please pm me your contractor number.

Looking for honest contractor without any hidden cost.

A few of my friends had bad experience before.

The contractor give them a very low quote to attract them.

After that a lot of hidden cost.

Hi Jason

If you are interested, you can pm me for my contractor's contact. He almost completed my place and know he's doing other BTO projects too. Not the cheapest but does quality work. Very responsive and patient.

Hi Jason, congrats on your impending key collection! you may wish to surf around the t-blogs to get more info.. There's a wealth info that you can find here. Generally, a contractor wouldn't give you any visual on the outcomes as they are usually low cost, no frills option. (Usually... Some might be so experience they can provide you with visuals)

If you would like a more complete service including advice on furniture and layout, providing you with visuals, a interior designer may be more suitable. However that would also usually cost more. Hope this helps :)

Good luck!!

Hi Edwin,

A happy new year to you and your family.

Really appreciat your info.

I do agree that ID will cost more. No point to spend some much money right?

I can just email them the design that I want and ask them to do.

Regards,

Jason

Always study the quotations provided by the ID or any contractors carefully. Do not be misguided with just the package prices. Most importantly, always ask when in doubt and never commit unless you are fully satisfied.
