Llpl's New House @ Punggol Waterway Brooks

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am just curious whether you will be removing the red and blue tape in your bathroom as I have seen so many carcass being build over the tape thus making it unremovable. I had mine removed and cleaned the wall before carpentry. I took photos of those tape position before removing. They leave a nasty sticky mess after tearing off, you need strong chemical to remove the residue.

I changed all my switches to Mallia too but I didn't know they have so many colours. After looking at your invoice, I see they are only 20 cents to 40 cents, that give me a choice to change if I want a different colour faceplate. Thanks for the info.

Hi andotang, we plan to leave the red and blue tape for the area which is going to be covered up by carpentry and only remove red and blue tape which is not going to be covered up by carpentry (for easier reference in the future *touch wood if something "bad" happen and water pipe rework is required).

You are most welcome on the info for Mallia switches. You can visit Legrand Mallia website to download their catalogue for their full colour range

CCM ran out of stock for 2 gang single pole switches (Pearl Colour). They only left with 7, in total our house need 21, so short of 14. New stock will only arrive after 15 Feb 2016. :(

We made our own purchases of switches from CCM after doing price comparison between different Legrand Mallia reseller in Singapore. CCM was the cheapest. Total cost of switches for the whole house is ~S$371.34 :D

Electrician is helping to change all the switches for the house FOC. :good:

ID recommend us Bronze with Pearl Rocker for the whole house to match our theme and also laminates

Day 27 (23rd Jan) - Delivery of Kitchen and toilet items

Our ID asked for all the kitchen and toilet items to be delivered today in preparation for the carpentry works in the kitchen and toilet because the last order for kompacplus top before CNY is on the 28th Jan. Which means that the kitchen toilet carpentry need to be up before 28th Jan so that the kompacplus contractor can come down to take measurement.

Since there is a need to cut "holes" by the carpenter for

i) Kitchen sink

ii) Cooker Hob

iii) Common toilet sink

iv) Master Toilet sink

Delivery for the following items were arranged to be delivered today

1) Parisilk - Cooker Hob, Hood, Microwave, Oven

Luckily we were at our new house giving my wife's aunt a tour yesterday (22nd Jan) night because Parisilk called me at 7pm saying that they are nearby, whether they can delivery our items today instead of tomorrow. So all these items arrived at 7.30pm

2) Hoe Kee - Kitchen sink, Common toilet sink & tap, Master toilet sink & tap

Day 26 (22nd Jan) - HERF Flooring Installation by Evorich (Part #2)

Progress after lunch

Door specialist arranged by Evorich to shaved off the bottom of 2 bedroom doors (Master Bedroom & Bedroom #2). Cost for shaving one door is $40. Luckily we only need to shave off 2 instead of 3 doors, but if you look at it from another perspective, it means that the doors supplied by HDB contractor is not of standard. :jawdrop: All are different in height.
