Lg Front Load Washer - Extra Long Duration?

Recommended Posts

I just moved into my new place and got a new LG front load washer (1275). its my 1st time using front load and for the first few weeks it was ok, 60 mins plus minus on 'Cotton' setting. but after that it started to get really long like 2 hrs - close to 3 hrs even on the same setting and i am wondering could be wrong :(( i ever tried to change setting to easy-care just after it started washing cuz i was told the timing is much shorter, end up upon resuming the timing was like super long. ever since i dont dare to change setting in between (not sure if we can do that thou) but still the duration keep getting really long to complete. Would be helpful if anyone can offer advices :)

I have similar experience too. Bought a LG front load WD1480TDT.

Errors, and took more than 1.30 hrs to 2 hrs to wash normal laundry.

Does front load always take this long to wash?

I'm currently using the same LG washer as Raphael for 1yr. On cotton mode/cold water/spin 800rpm, entire duration varies 70-100mins depending on load. Never had issues on extended duration or errors. Also used an older model of LG front loader with no issues on duration too. You might want to check the spin time and water temperature else there might be a defect on the washer so claim the warranty.

thanks looney,

I have always keep the temp to low and now maintain at the preset RPM.

Not sure if it is due to the laundry net my wife used when washing, like causing unbalance and overload(very doubtful)?

Will monitor again for sure.

Last night very strange, my wife said that the washer auto shut down 2 times.

I told her to not to overload and put in too much load and monitor again.

So in the end, when we set to manual rinse and spin.

Will monitor again.
