Cove Lighting In 3-Room Living Room

I am thinking of having cove lighting in my 3-room living room. Has anyone done this before? How does it look? Does it make the living room smaller / bigger/ no change? How much did it cost?

To make a cove lighting design at the center of living good, the effect quite nice but the room prefer to be big. Like my fil house 5 room flat with cove lighting effect quite nice .
