parquet floor maintenance

hi bros and sis! anyone has any idea how often we should polish our parquet floors and any maintenance tips for parquet flooring? TQ in advance!

Kelvin, polishing frequency is really dependent on how much traffic that space is getting. Some rooms see heavier usage so we do so once in 2-3 years. Especially those areas that are nearer to bathroom cos of moisture.

My 1 year old parquet floor is filled with scratches. I am not sure if it is the quality of the parquet used or just rough usage.

Never knew this as i always thought only those unvarnished woods will shrink

I maintain and clean mine by using this particular cleaner called bona. Sorry for the very late reply. Just joined this forum today =)

Problem is moisture will always be there and moisture is an issue that is very hard to avoid

Alot of wood materials shrink because the varnish wears out after a while, so if you go for wood make sure its treated wood so the shrinkage is very minute
