Bad experience in 1st house of renovation

Hi all,

Just came to know this forum...we bought our 1st house (resale). As economic now is bad, for the renovation, we also asked recommend their contractor to us cause worry about contractor run away issue. But sad to say. No one u can be trust. Almost 80% done, the contractor run away... no one u can trust, n I just can say it is luck. When come to reno n the prices to pay I feel that defitenly unfair to consumer. 

For our toilet tiles never done. We still need few tiles to complete it. We went to the shop n want to buy the same tiles from the shop. N the shop block all the people buy the tiles n when they check n told us that the contractor owe them huge amount so they can't sell to us. N we just want to buy 6 pcs. The sale person say if we need to buy we have to pay $2-3K so that can sell to us.. crazy? contractor take my money run away n the shop ask me to pay more?? (shop in Singapore, Balestier road) we are not stupid!! So end up we manage to get the similar design n color tiles from Soon Bee Huat altough the 6pcs tiles is more expensive cause it is not China Tiles... really appreciate their help n very friendly n good service!! 

I just can say we are bad luck to have bad experience...
