Starting this blog to document our renovation journey. 

To start off, this is the layout of our humble abode. 

We've just gotten our 3D rendering done but will still be making amendments. 

Pictures of tiles we chose for each area.

These are our gorgeous kitchen tiles. At first we wanted a different color to segregate the service yard but looking at the 3D we changed our minds and preferred to just have the peranakan tiles.

Hexagon tiles for master bathroom shower feature. Matched with the wall and floor tiles.

Love the grey marble tile for the common  bathroom wall.

I've always wanted some hexagon tiles but in order to save costs we kept it to the foyer area which isn't too big. 

Due to budget constraints, we decided to overlay vinyl for our bedrooms and living rooms.

We chose the combi on the right. The lighter tile to be in the living room and the darker one in the bedrooms.

There are 3 rooms but because there are minimal carpentry/works to be done hence no need for 3D rendering. @d3n

The vinyl is from the Novocore series introduced by our ID.

Hacking works commenced on 4th Jan. This is the balcony.

Master bedroom which we intend to expand into the living room.

Kitchen and dining area 

Doing up the partition between the master bedroom and bedroom 3 cos previous owners created a entrance there.

Doing up the wall between the master bedroom and living room.

Expanding our master toilet as well.

Cement screed for the foyer.

It was pretty exciting to see how the tiles we've chosen will look in real life. We hacked the tiles for all areas except for bedrooms and living rooms which has we will be doing a vinyl overlay.

Hexagon tiles for our foyer. It'll be great to come home each day and be greeted by these beautiful tiles. 

Wood like tiles for the balcony. This will be our cozy corner. Will put some plants here to beautify the space.

Peranakan tiles for dining and kitchen. Grey subway tiles backsplash provides a nice contrast.

A little preview of the living room vinyl cos it's still covered by a layer of protection.

Master bedroom vinyl which is the same for the other bedrooms as well.

Common bathroom tiles. After seeing how beautiful the marble like tiles looks in our common bathroom, I kinda regretted not going for the same in the master toilet. Our thought process was to keep the tones in the rooms warm and the living areas to be cool toned.

Our master toilet is pretty long after the extension. The pipe is a serious eye sore and hindrance but we're not concealing it.

Master toilet has more of a resort feel. Due to the beam above we are unable to put in a rain shower.
