Design around protruding wall

Hi guys, recently bought a 5rm resale unit. It has a fairly squarish layout in living/dining area. However, there are these 2 protruding structural columns sticking out from the wall and they cannot be hacked. Any ideas how i can design around these unsightly walls? Thanks!
