Pine wood plank on feature wall

Hi 

Always come across bricks and stone in feature wall and its become a norm . So thought of use real wooden plank for feature wall but how to bond those plank onto wall ? Anyone try before ? Only way is using glues but dont think its strong enough to hold on .

Google but no result ..

How about using Max bond?

Another way is to build a wooden baffle wall and attach to the wall itself. Then the wooden plank design can be attached to the baffles. This way the design can be smooth and flat.
