Bad Experience with Mover

Recommended Posts

Wanted to share my recent bad experience with everyone on the forum to avoid the use of a logistics service provider I used for my house shift on 18 Aug 2017.  I made a poor selection of the logistics provider believing they are professional and ended up in dismay with my Simmons King-sized storage bed and Simmons Mattress which cost me $5000 being damaged.  I should not have believed the salesman who assured me that they provided a better quality of service than average movers.  Told the handlers to be careful with the expensive bed set during the house move  but it ended with open deep cuts to mattress and tears to bed frame.  Refer to photos for the extensive damage done.  Company was at first in denial and later agreed to only compensate $100 for bad damage done which I declined.  If you are in my shoes, will you accept $100 for the damage to your good bed set?  Company was fast in responding to sale call but turned out to be very unresponsive when damage occurred. Company refused to respond or receive my calls when I told them I will provide a review on them online.   I totally do not recommend the use of this logistics provider.  If you want a peace of mind during your house move, save yourself the headache and look for a more reliable logistics provider than the one I used.  It was the biggest mistake on my part and now I have to dig deeper into my pocket to replace my bed set.  If you are interested to know the name of the mover company, I can email or whatsapp you.

I think LCH Logistics is getting worse.   You offered only $100 as total compensation for a Simmons mattress and a Simmons bed frame and now claimed on internet that you offered $500!!!   On SMS, you threatened that if I do not bring down my posting on line you will not even allow me to claim for insurance. Now you are communicating on this post that I have to pay $2500 for a insurance survey instead of calling to inform me. What professionalism this company is portraying?  I am just an innocent  customer who has fallen victim to your bad service and now just because you wanted to save your company name, you tried to fake and mask the entire story to hide the truth from everyone.  I did mention to Ann that I just shifted house and will need time to find the receipt.  My things are still in boxes.  Is this unfair?    But why is the company becoming more atrocious.... and lying even that you offered me $500????  I see no end to the company persistent attempts to avoid Compensation to damaged items and rudeness in your approach In all our communication.  There was a lack of responsiveness when I first highlighted the matter and denial on the company part.  I had to attempt to reach your staff on office number instead of mobile when problem occurred and I had to enquire if there is insurance.  LCH failed to provide any solution for remedy except insisting reluctantly max $100 only.  If $100 is deemed as reasonable to you, then I prefer you restore my good Simmon bed set which cost me nearly $5000 especially since it was outrightly indicated by Ann during SMS communication that I asked for "Heaven price" $2000.  I was actually open to discussion but the communication experience with your company has been totally unpleasant throughout.  My family and I are totally disgusted with this desperate attempt by LCH Logistics to mask the truth.  We were never offered $500.  No need to create additional story to hide the real fact.  We totally regret engaging your service.  It is okay....keep your $100.

HI Christina

Hope you understand why we post on line in response to your post.

we never threaten you with anything

Yes we did propose $100 compensation which you refuse and propose us to compenstate you $2000 or do a 1 to 1 exchange for your bed which we are unable to do so...we only charge you $800 to do 2 trip 14 ft lorry load and send a additional point.

we are unable to compenstate you the sum that you want so we need to give you a counter offer..

we also need time to come out with the offer.

we are not cheapest in the market but we are trying hard to provide good services to everyone.

we also dont wish to have any unexpected incidents

we just want some fairness toward us..our company work hard in providing the services which is tough

On the day when the move finish, u make payment to us without highlighting there is any damages to your item...after we left and  you call us. we also need time to investigate what happen...

After investigating my guy not aware of your bed damages while they are installing your king size storage bed, they ask me if they really damage your bed will you make payment to them?give them $40 tips?

we never push away any liability nor did we show you any rudness toward you.....

we try to make some compensation so both party will be happy.. i dont understand why you have to feel disgusted?

you can comment us as bad company lousy company if we avoid your call....but we didnt....

Lack of responsiveness- we explain to you that we need time to investigate and propose a compensation ...

we are not hiding anything or creating anything we just want to make some compensation and close the case and move on

For the insurance claim you need to pay $2500 to the insurance company  for them to come down to survey which we havet mention to you cause we are waiting for your receipt  and the payout is $5.00 per kg which the compensation will be much lesser then what we offer to compenstate you.

That the reason why we offer to compenstate you $500 so both parties will be happy and move on and close the case.

Again, may I remind you to state your facts clearly and truthfully when writing in order not to continue to deceive the readers.  Or should I give the benefit of doubts that you have no idea over the facts of matter.  I believed it was clearly indicated to Ann that I was at the old house during the house shift and payment plus $40 tips was passed by my elderly mum at the new house to your workers.  By the time I reached the new house, your workers had left.  My maid  highlighted to me that she pointed a damage to your worker and asked what happened but your worker kept silent and quickly left.  Then we were shocked to find more damage including two open holes in both corners of my mattress and several tears on my bed frame!!!! If I had known I could not trust a company who convinced me during sales of good reliability and trustworthiness in quality service, then I would have certainly withheld my payment and let your people wait till I arrive to check my two truck load of stuff before handing out payment.  I was very wrong to think that LCH will surely provide rectifications and respond responsibly if there is any damage.  It became a total nightmare when I realized that LCH was not only playing denial (saying to me that you do not know who to believe - yr worker or me and after that keeping silent and avoiding  response to my queries on status.  Finally there was a response to give me $100 for the extensive damage of two items costing nearly $5000 and then silent again after I indicated that I will prefer my items to be reinstated as they were in perfect condition before the moval.   I mentioned $2000 as I attempt to close matter but unfortunately your company reacted rudely and unreasonably in your communication approach.  Even so, no initiation of negotiation came from LCH and certainly with no offer of another compensation amount.  (I don't know how LCH can fake the story that $500 was already offered to me.... I think it is totally unfair to shift the blame to your customer and do it disgustingly through untruthfulness.  I did inform your company prior to my public postings that I will do so if there is no response.  When I finally manage to reach your staff on your office number, Ann who had been avoiding me pretended as if she did not know I was awaiting a response.  She outrightly told me LCH is okay for me to proceed with my online reviews, instead of making any small effort to resolve matter or discuss compensation. I did tell her I will prefer to close matter asap but she  continued to jeered me for my requests for compensation.  She said even Simmons has T&C so why should a replacement be given to me.  This added to the fumes.  I had to queried on my part if there is insurance customers may claim.   She kept dwelling that I was unreasonable to request $2000 calling it heaven price and that LCH is willing to give max $100 only.  She said insurance will give $5 per kg which is lesser than $100.  Dismayed, I asked her what she would do in my shoes, she said she would get a specialist to move the bed if it is that expensive.  Unfortunately I am stupid to think that I have engaged a house moval specialist.  Until now, the gesture made by LCH Logistics has been less than kind or sincere.  You know correctly that I was told to bring down my posts before I am allowed to put up claims which I refused before compensation.  It was pointed out to me that I was scared of LCH running away and that I can always put up my reviews again if I get no compensation.  The undue stress and toll you put me through is not justifiable.  This is our first house shift and you have made it a nasty experience.  You now said you want to close matter but wouldn't you think I want that too and even badly since I must buy a whole new bed set to replace the one you made big holes in.  Pests can easily nest itself.  I checked that it will cost me nearly another $5000 to buy a similar replacement.  We are certainly unlucky to have engaged LCH.  Stop dwelling that $2000 is too much....I didn't want my bed badly damaged.... I had to pay so much more as replacement.  The damaged bed  is still in its early years under Simmons warranty and I just lost all its worth thanks to LCH.  Stop claiming that you already offer $500 to me as compensation when LCH Logistics only insisted $100 max repeatedly on SMS and verbally.  When was it communicated to me before you publish in response that you "already" offered $500???  Stop continuing with misleading attempts to tarnish the credibility of my reviews as it is not a solution.  Is there no longer conscience?  We are totally in disbelief and disgust with LCH.  What we gone through, we hope others can learn from our very expensive mistake.   Stop putting up endless attempts to mask the facts, rather tell people how you will provide resolution on matter with an upset customer who has been traumatized by the bad customer service/entire incident.  Show empathy and sincerity in wanting to settle matter in fairness to your customer and in good faith through helpful response and actions.  We no longer wish to join you in this endless battle of finger pointing as the fact remains that our good bedset has been badly damaged during the move and we have received no monetary compensation for replacement.

Hi there, as i am in the mist of engaging a mover, i wld like to know more abt the insurance coverage provided by movers.

Is this the standard industry practice? Because $2.5k for a surveyor to come chk seems excessive.....i could fly SQ frm spore to europe n back with that kind of $. As a customer is there an option to pay more for better insurance coverage?

Thks

wait, why should the customer pay $2500 to insurance company to claim damage? It doesn;t  make sense.

Shouldnt the mover company cover that?

Its like getting into a vehicle accident and having to pay a fee to the  other party just to claim damages. Odd.

Regardless, defintely avoiding this company.

The $800 excuse sounds illogical as well.

Earlier this month, we employed LCH to move us from a 3br landed to a condo.

Despite assurances that this would be a smooth and careful move, it was nothing of the sort. Starting the first day, with workers who did not want to perform the necessary packing and then sending photos back to LCH office, which then were forwarded back to me. However, as pointed out on the day, the photos were nearly identical to those I had myself forwarded to Jason of LCH prior to confirming the move. Never the less, we managed to agree it was some sort of misunderstanding at their end, and we progressed with the move.

However, the subsequent damage to our belongings and worse yet, a major missing item, results in this being the worst move we have so far experienced. We were keen to support a local smaller company, but now only regret our decision to do so. I recall Jason even expressing he’d look forward to our recommendation of LCH, after our move experience. Unfortunately, there is nothing in this experience that would make us consider recommending LCH, especially the lack of follow up we are now experiencing. When singing off on the moved in items, it was noted on the invoice that there was damage.. Some of damage was already noted to LCH workers as the move progressed. Also, within the next days as we were unpacking, we noticed a major item totally missing.

We are assured by LCH supervisor, that upon move in, we’d go over the inventory of what was moved. However, your supervisor did not take any inventory at all, so it was impossible to account for every item delivered, especially due that LCH allocated only a single truck that required multiple journeys, and LCH movers mixed furniture from different rooms. Not only has there been damage to our personal belongings, but there has been damage as well to our new rental unitl. We had just signed off on the good condition of our new place with the landlord, only to have it suffer damage to floors, door entry and closets.

We would have been so happy to be able to recommend LCH to others. However after damage being noted in the final sign-off and my subsequently messaging both Jason and Yous and not have gotten any reply from them or management, we are only left to feel that LCH does not feel to follow up at all. Had LCH provided sufficient trucks, manpower and packing materials, much if not all of this could have been avoided and LCH could have completed your job in two days as planned. Typifying this lack of supply, was that LCH workers had no cutters to perform the unpacking and had to borrow from us just the one we ourselves had. We felt badly that LCH workers had such an over burden of work. LCH should not take on such a job if you cannot manage the logistics properly. Ironic that a logistics company could not manage that aspect of the move. We've complained to the company directly, but have not had one word back from them.

Further, we late learned that they caused problems for our building security personal and neighbours, due the haphazard way in which they removed the packing materials within the car park. It's a shame that a company cannot see fit to at least address a clients concerns as they are happening, or follow up. Obviously we are not a client they feel they want back, and certainly cannot expect us to leave them any decent review of their service.

Hi All ,

Bad experience with this mover : I stored my furnitures, appliances and stuffs in boxes with VS Movers & Logistic Pte Ltd when I moved last year. After storing in the their warehouse for about 1 year or so, they moved my stuffs on 21 Jan 2019 to my new house. To my horror, they LOST MY LEATHER SOFA, DENTED MY FRIDGE and LOST 1 of the BOXES. Since till date, they still have not compensate for my losses. During the move to my new place, I discovered some of the stuffs that they moved to my place does not belong to me and they didn’t realize at all. I still have to tell them those stuffs doesn’t belong to me. I think my sofa was moved by their mistakes to other people’s house instead . What a joke! The sofa is so big yet they can lost it. Spoken to the sales in charge and he told me that the company will not be responsible for the losses as their workers(movers) will be the one accountable. What nonsenses are these excuses? And the workers that moved my things to the warehouse have left the company too. So now who is going to pay for my losses? I felt like my sofa was stolen instead. My horrible experience with this moving company :VS Movers & Logistic Pte Ltd !☹️☹️

Hi All,

DO NOT EVER USE WeCan Movers!!!

First, they are never on time based on the time they said. I waited more than an hour and there was no update from them.

Secondly, they do not protect your items at all! A mover should take simple precaution measures. I requested a simple moving of a few furniture, and they manage to crack the screen of 1 TV and severely dented 1 washing machine. Somehow, they can instantly "replace" me with another washing machine which was so rusted on the edges (which eventually the mover decided to dump it downstairs at void deck anyway!)

Thirdly, the mover is very rude and give excuses that moving always "has accident", and he did not want to claim responsibility for the cracked TV!

Finally, the mover acted like a gangster and I threatened to call the police. I called the person in charge and they refused to refund and say will only replace with OTHER 2nd hand products which look brand new. I told him that is not the point as I have my personal hygiene for washing machine. He turned around and insulted me that my TV and washing machine are not new also. I refuted and said that you should not have damaged them in the first place!

Very frustrated and angry experience!

Please do not save money to use them and end up spending more money to replace your broken or spoilt products!

Unfortunately, I also had a sad experience of using movers. During transportation, they scratched a lot of furniture and smashed my new monitor. Because of this, I got very angry and argued with them for a long time until my wife calmed me down. After a month, I was able to get money from them for the damage they caused. After this incident, I began to distrust such companies, until a friend told me about the removalists sutherland shire and the quality of their work. When I ordered a new sofa, I decided to contact them and I saw with what responsibility they approach the work.

Hi, Wildberry. I pity you. Man, **** the unprofessionalism. I hate companies that do not respect their customer. How do they not get they damage their reputation? Thanks for your sincere declaration. I think it will awaken people to care when choosing a moving company. From my experience, three times moved from one country to another; my fav transport company never disappointed me. You can look here for more details. My stuff came perfectly packed, and the transportation was safe and fast. I did not bother for anything. They did all the disassembly and documentation. Excellent work!
