Nice house. White and grey with wood essence would definitely look great on this layout! Downside is the limited (and wallet unfriendly) choice on furnishing but definitely worth the hassle.

Good luck with the reno!

Tiling works

Things are moving very fast.

Both toilets have completed tiling. Kevin has also kindly agreed to do the tile insert floor drains and a step down kerb for us though it meant extra work for his workers.

Common Bathroom (Wall & floor tiles from Hafary):

Master Bathroom (Wall & floor tiles from Lian Seng Hin):

Living room and master bedroom will be using the same homogeneous floor tiles which we were hoping to achieve the effect as the photo below. Mainly white and some swirls:

We thought we have found the one at Hafary - Sivec Snow @ $4.00/psf

But then when the tiles are laid, it turned out like this.

We both stared at the floor tiles for 2 days and decided we couldn't live with it for the next few years, so made the decision to hack and choose a new floor tile.

We are still not sure how much is this mistake going to cost us as Kevin is supposed to calculate and let us know. But we are grateful that he did not utter a word of complaint for the troubles that we have caused him - to apply a new HDB reno permit for hacking, coordinating the return and ordering of floor tiles, and rescheduling his workers. :(

The left and right rows seems to be different color? Or is it the lighting? The pattern seems similar though

Looking real good ! How long does it takes to finish the whole project?

About 3 months. Estimated completion date is early June.

Tiling works (to continue from above):

We have placed order for the replacement living room floor tiles early week and they were delivered yesterday. Have to say I really like the matt stone-look finish!

Kevin's workers very fast hands fast legs started laying the tiles already.

The tiles for the living room look great. Do you have a pic of the final look of your hall with the tiles?

Have you considered protecting the grouts so that it will not have the dirty look?
