Anyone knows how much to tear down wallpaper?

Thinking of buying a flat but it has wallapapers which I don’t like. 

How much does it cost to remove them?

We got a quote from some of the contractors/ID in IMM. They quoted close to 800 SGD. Nippon quotes around 1K-1.2K. Our house has a lot of wallpaper (all the rooms) as it was a show flat when originally purchased by the first owner. 

Do take note that once you remove the wallpaper, the wall needs to be made even again so some cementing or patch up needs to be done. This will become important if you are hiring different guys for removal and painting.
