Advice on Vanity Cabinet done by contractor

Recommended Posts

Hi all, need advice on this. My vanity cabinet with solid top was just completed by my contractor. However, there is no spacing from the edge of the left door to the wall and huge spacing from the right door to the wall as shown. When I feedback to contractor, he explained that cos it's a tight space so always will need to make smaller to fit it in, hence the gap in the right. Rubbish or truth? (p.s both sides of the wall are flushed)

truth and lie

you can't make the cabinet exactly the same width as the opening. normally will be a bit smaller so can fit in.

but from your picture. the measurements seemed to be quite off which resulted in them using a bigger piece of laminate to cover up the hole there.

maybe you can look below the cabinet and see if there is indeed a gap on the right side. this is provided the contractor had not used any laminate to cover up the hole as well.
