Great job finding a carpenter who offers great rates. That's awesome! Now do you know what you have to consider before hiring a carpenter? You should consider:

1. His availability. You want a carpenter who can cater to your "time-frame needs". Meaning to say you won't want a carpenter who cannot finish a 2-week project in 2 weeks, and only completed it after 1 month. Time is money, friend. Not forgetting to mention, delays in the project/job causes many inconveniences in the home you don't want.

 

2. The cost. Obviously everyone digs cost these days. You wanna make sure you get your money's worth for the project you are aiming for. Do keep in mind, cheap =/= quality work. Sometimes, that expensive project is more worth it than the cheaper alternative.

 

3. Getting references from friends and family members. If you have issues finding carpenter references, your friend can help. Since you found 1 yourself, awesome!
