3D Drawing of my house (version 3/3)

Couple of days back, my ID informed me that the 3D drawing is ready. Yay! ? I’m quite excited and curious how my house will look like with the materials and color combination I chose. On the other hand, I’m quite worry it will turn out quite messy because I have selected quite a few colors (as what mmoh have mention earlier, our house not very big does not need so many colors). ? After looking at the 3D drawings individually, I think they all look great but just worried that when all put together in a small house, it might be a bit too much. To be on the safe side, I have decided to reduce my laminates to 2 colours. ? Just go with the combination of White with one Wood color for the whole house (I very good boi, listen to mmoh ?). I shall see how the version 2 of the 3D drawing will look like with the new changes. Will update this post once I have received it. ?

Living Room

Version 1

Comment: Will extend the open shelve (above the TV) all the way to the other end, top cabinet will request to split it equally (OCD kicks in). Glass cabinet on the right side, I will request to change the glass door to a fixed glass panel and casement door open from bedroom.

Version 3

Comment: Just a slight change at the cabinet area.

Kitchen

Version 1

Comment: Tentatively there’s no changes for kitchen, quite happy with it.

Version 2

Comment: Added the oven and open shelves storage.

Version 3

Comment: After the carpenter take measurement at the available area and it seem like the open shelves storage not very practical, since my washing machine and dryer will basically blocked it. Therefore not intend to do any shelving or cabinet.

Bedroom

Version 1

Comment: The open shelves on the right side of the wardrobe will move it down to the floor to put my dry box.

Version 1

Comment: The color of the wall nearer to the bowl is incorrect (look like grey now), it should be slightly closer to the tone of the floor.

Hi Bunnieboi, that awesome and thanks for sharing.

I will be collecting my keys too in 2nd Quar. this year. Cant wait for HDB to inform me.  Last year end, I went to road show, I was shocked to hear 2 room renovation that goes up above 30k.I felt that not many ID wanted to renovate project below 28K?

May I know what is your budget you set? I set like 15k. I am only looking to add in kitchen and a built in wardrobe. I have opt in the option 1 and 2 that included flooring.

i'm like you, only looking to do painting, wardrobe and kitchen since i've opted for OCS too. i thought 5k-10k should be enough but dunno where to find contractors ...

Ya, nowadays the renovation cost quite high. I set at $25K but I think will go up more than $25K. ?

Oops I miss out the 25k. Thank you for pointing out!

I just listed out list of renovation I want to do, list of items to buy. Seem a lot. Not easy.

Yaya, there's a long list of things you will need to do and buy. I think @mmoh kept within her budget.

ah boi guai lor!  :good:

kitchen - should do more drawers then casement door. drawers are convenient but may cost more.

can alternate wood white wood white for doors, not necessary have to do upper all white bottom all wood.

Bedroom - again, drawers are useful if you have folded clothing.

Hello @mmoh!

I actually engaged the service of Defect Inspector, and the first thing the Inspector did when he saw that I was annoyed by the auto closing door, was to take a pile of complimentary tiles from my bomb shelter, and tucked it between the door and frame. It did hold the door stationary at a certain angle.

Which defect inspector you engage? Can share the contact and charges?

Wow look awesome!

Just a little concern about the toilet. If based on the hdb show flat, is it not narrow to place the bath glass area there? If you stretch ur arms to wash here and there, will you hit your elbow against wall and glass?

to reiterate angstygal's question on the shower screen, based on the 3D drawing, you only have about 700mm of floor space between the wall and the shower screen. a shower mixer has a size ranging from about 100mm to about 200mm in depth. assuming you get a shower mixer which about 150mm in depth, then you would be left with only 550mm of space between your body and shower screen. would that be enough for you to move around when showering?

Will need to see the actual dimensions of the toilet to determine if this layout will work. ?
