Hi all

I would like to share about the contractor I'd engaged a few years ago for my current 4-room flat and am planning to again for my new apartment. Had thoughts about getting ID initially but it seems I'd managed to save a lot of money last time getting  a contractor instead of ID as I had a pretty clear idea of what I prefer, so better go through the same route again. My contractor was very humble n easy going who gave great practical advice to accommodate to my needs (I did want a lot of things for my first abode, maybe too much). He was very patient and open to negotiations and his workers were all very meticulous in their work. We find them reliable and were very pleased with our first house and would like to recommend him to anyone who is interested. Only thing is he is not very well versed in English and we had a slight delay in getting everything done, probably due to our fussiness as well. Anyway if anyone is interested can pm me for contacts.

Cheers

Hi,

I just did my my home, previously i went around to look for many quotes from many different companies. And finally came to a conclusion that diff id company quotation are diff as  only they themselves know what they are quoting as design and materials used are diff, some tried to pull a quick deal off where they themselves are not sure and not knowledgable. I personally feel that having a responsible contractor or ID is very important.

In the end decided to use a ID that is introduce to me by a friend which have engaged their service before.

If u really need my ID or Contractors contact feel free to let me know

Hi..

So its been quite a while since I have been here but since fellow mates introduced me to wilson I guess I should do a review on homebox studios - contractor

I got my unit in October... signed on 12th..and completed in November end. For the amount of work I think the time taken was really reasonable. All in all I paid 50k for downing of walls.. rehaulage of whole unit.. carpentry works.. the price was very much reasonable. of course there were cheaper quotes but I'm telling you when you meet this chap you will understand why i chose him.

upon signing with wilson.. he brought me to a wholesale shop to purchase some lights.total damage 1,264 only! I went to other place to see on my time off and found I could have paid 2.5k+ of the lights I bought. the shop only sell to shops in singapore but apparently is a good friend of his. the same day we also went to buy sanitary ware which was reasonably priced. So far other than a light which had a chipped corner (changed and replace) other still works great. so really happy with the all in one service and the effort they gave in to help us not procrastinate buying anything.

After which the hdb was approved within 3 days.. and demolition work started.. Nothing much to comment here as I was overseas during this period of time but there were no sign of the old tiles after i came back. the walls were downed and hdb personal came down to check on the day i visited the unit but no complains were made.. apparently they just checked if the walls are demolished correctly.. i think i was the 'suay' unit cause wilson said it was the first time such thing happened..

the progress went smoothly and i visits the site every week and wilson is there almost every time being dirty and helping the workers. so i'm really happy that he really did take care of my house. The carpentry was almost flawless and one of the better ones I've seen. for something made by hand I really think the worker did a good job. everything was delivered and installed properly. all my things taken care of and cleaned for handover. on the day he handed over it was so cleaned my hubby and I decided to bring a mattress and sleep in the new house because we were just so excited.

All in all... a few mistakes were made but all were rectified. I am impressed that wilson always place me first. understand that sometimes things get lost in translation but he was very willing to help us right the wrongs. Service was prompt and his reply is almost immediate on whatsapp. price is considerably reasonable for the quality he provided.. zero issue with tiles.. happy with carpentry.. so far still living comfortably in the house.. wilson still sends his workers down when I have some issues. of course there were some give and takes that we were both willing to compromise but it was all very minor. I called him earlier today to ask him how is he doing and told me he's getting an office and will be inviting me down when it is due to open.. this is my thanks to wilson and his team of workers...

if you call him and say introduced by Sandra Tan he will give discount :)

Pls share contact: weimingfu82@gmail.com

hi km-foo, i can recommend my contractor to you if you are keen. i used his service for my house 8 years ago and will be using him again for my new house.

initially i wanted to try out ho bee since he is so highly recommended in this forum. they gave me a quote and after comparing, my first contractor's quote is still cheaper so i stayed with him.

he is very reliable and honest, just like patrick. the only thing is i have to keep chasing him for quotation (i think he is very busy). his carpentry work are also of very good quality, all my carpentry work in the old house is still going strong except for scratches and stickers all over (done by my kids).

pm me if you want his contact number.

Hi, could you please pm your contractor contact and quote? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I guess nowadays a lot of contractors all under the IDs who act as the middleperson to give an overall package to customers.

As for me, I had my own idea on how my new place will look like and partly to try saving some $$ so I source out my own contractor through "shopping" around my areas and by chance i met this current contractor who just finished the renovations work for one of my future neighbours! I look at the work and to make sure that he is reliable and good, I even met up with this neighbor and get comments from him! Haha..

In the end, I engage him and now happily undergoing the renovation..so far he has been very positive and good attitude. You need me to recommend, just Pm me. Good luck! :dunno:

Hi, could you please pm your contractor contact and quote? Thank you in advance.
