I suppose you mean the surround speakers, the Domus Wall. Its 1 k plus think about 1.3 to 1.4

I got from High Research not Adelphi, High Research is the agent/distributor in Singapore for SF.

For the Coffee Table it is from SoHome in Furniture Mall I think its about 600+, its actually a 2 piece and can be separately used or arranged there are studs (non-Slip) and you can place it vertically or like me horizontally, meaning higher or lower placement by flipping it.

The system is sounding better and better, so happy. I bought a Hugo LPCD45 disc, sound super. And of course watching old movies disc, just bought the Priates of the Caribean 3 disc set, very enjoyable.

Cheers

A pleasure posting here and thanks to those who had share their views or provide info.

Hi,

Happy New Year (a bit late though).

Travelled....

With the inevitable death of HD-DVD, I finally commit to Blu-Ray and added a PS3 to my entertainment equipment.

Why PS3? It is the only Blu-Ray that is future proof for Blu-Ray Profile 2.0 (currently Profile 1.1), hardware wise. Now I have 1080P from source to display...very nice indeed.

Primary intend is for watching movie. Gaming is secondary. But had played Need For Speed Pro Street....very nice.

Just a question to gamers here in this forum. Where is the best place to get PS3 games, selection and price wise.

Hmmm....

Just a heads up. The current oil price you guys are experiencing at pump station is using crude traded around US$90...those traded at much higher price are not use yet, so expect a increase in price, pretty substantial one in coming months. With the so-called new transport masterplan....do consider with care if buying car.

I had dropped the idea of getting a "high-end" / conti car and stick with a Jap car, though I was so near in signing the paper for a conti car.

Cheers

Hi fteocs,

Not really too late for CNY :dancingqueen:

Yes, PS3 (bought mine quite some time back when first launch here) is currently still the cheapest Blu-Ray player and it's a game console as well. In case you are not aware Sony Singapore (Paragon & Wisma Atria got more titles, read somewhere total is 28 titles) is having a BR Sales, 3 BRs for $118.90..maybe limited titles. Else you can always wait for Amazon promotions like BOGO (Buy One Get One). Guess you can try purchasing PS3 games from most place but pricing is mostly fixed. Other place you could try is in Funan...forgot the game shop name.

Good time to buy car next 1 or 2 months before lower COE quota kicks in and most expect COE prices to head upwards. Higher oil prices & impending recession is US is likely to damper minimal IMO. Also looking to change my ride this year. Have you considered the new Mazda 6 series expected to launch end of this month or the new Honda Accord or the Ford Modeo (2.3litre)?

Cheers

Thanks for the Info.

I have seen the Accord and test drive it also...dont really like it, can't articulate clearly though and its Thai made, so drop the option.

The Ford....I don;t have good impression of American motor...so

THe Mazda...look very good indeed, but I remember the Mazda value issue a few of my colleagues are experiencing now....the value of the car just drop tremendously, I mean look at the initial price of Mazda 6 and now...easily more than $10k if not close to $15k cheaper by authorized agent. My colleague one has a Mazda 3 2yrs+ bought at 76k slightly cheaper than mine (4+ yrs) but paper value and body is lower than mine, of course the COE is not the same granted, but new car from agent is really bad...they not doing much to up hold the value...sigh.

I had tested the Audi A3 sporthatch and VW GT Sport and was so close to signing the VW when I saw a guy complaining to service advisor on all the problems he faced witht he GT sport and VW can;t solve despite numerous visits....heng ah! conti turbo charge engine....if unlucky get a problem one that is!

For Conti Car, there is no doubt on the quality, technology, handling but reliability wise I have much doubt and really over priced especially after travelling to so many countries, the price i pay for my current ah pek car can get BMW 523 ...sigh...finally I booked a civic 2.0, a compromise but not too bad, can mod some more and Honda cars value in the open market and the agent is holding well, unlike mazda and also nissan...look at the nissan sunny those who bought about 4 yrs ago, its a disaster!:sport-smiley-003:

What is your ride now? what you have in mind?

Oh just to add, the oil price thing...its info from my colleague working in the trading dept, so me better heal his advice.

Cheers

Hi

Civic 2.0 is a great car and very popular. This (or Stream) is what i'm eyeing on as well. Not sure about new Mazda 6 cos not available yet. Definitely cannot compare quality generally between European & Thai made cars. Me currently driving a Thai made car....very reliable engine cos it's from world top manufacturer but a lot of cost cutting so it's cheaper.

Just came back from Aussie land home and price there are no comparison...Can get new BMW 325i for $60K :bangwall: and new Golf 2.0 FSI for around $35K and can keep long time without effect like COE. Here it's all about supply, demand & COE revenue to ....

Both model mentioned above have no complaints what's so ever by family members and i have driven both as well and yes quality is there. Maybe GTI is a different beast.

Was driving Sunny 5 yrs ago and i know what you mean beside the heavy :dribble:

Definitely expect petrol price to be high for some time.

Stream a good choice...I think same engine K20, I chose the 2.0 Civic not the 1.8 for the engine as one main factor, k20 is the JDM accord engine and Type R engine too but of course Type R is tuned to the max with I think 225HP as compared to 155HP for the 2.0 Civic sedan.

You have kids or plan to have more than 1 kid then Stream will be a better choice, for me, no more adding kid....

Hmm half an hour more will know whether I will secure the COE.

Cheers
