We bought our air con from Gain City (IMM) today. Toshiba System 3 non-inverter at $1699, inclusive of GST, delivery and installation.

Initially wanted to get from All Best cos the price is the lowest but heard from forums that their installation and service is terrible. That's why we did not go to All Best, just to play safe.

Hi,

im considering between these 2 models:

1. MUX3B20VB/MS-B10VB - R410A

2. MUX-20TV/MS-A10VD - R22

Both are Mitshubishi sys3 non inverter. Which is better? What is the advantage of getting the R410A refrigerant?

i was told by a salesman that aircons using R22 gas will be phased out by 2016, and that you would need to change the whole aircon system by then, to use a system with R410 gas - is that true?

Phased out as in ... no more selling new sets....only

Commn, 9 years from now, yr air con time to change also mah.

R410

Environmental friendly

Cools faster

More expensive when top up ( only leakage problem )

Not sure Hitachi, but heres what I gather last week

My requirment, is using all 3 rooms together ( 2 X 9000 ) + ( 1 X 12000 )

System 3 may not be able to cool all at 1 time.

Starmex do not have single inverter. ( strange ? )

Got some rough estimate ...

Inverter

Panasonic ( 2+1 ) = 2039+1049 = 3088

Mitsubishi ( 2+1 ) = 2099+929=3028 ( 1 = non inverter ) / (2+1) all non inv = 1679+929=2608

Mitsubishi ( Sys3 ) = 2879 ( total BTU 28,000 )

Non Inverter

Mitsubishi ( Sys3 ) = 2159 ( but total BTU only 20,000 ) means 776 or 866

maybe cannot cool the room

Est not include conceal pipe & stainless steel bracket

I just paid a deposit for my aircon but we are still considering whether to take the LG ($1520) or Mitsubishi System 3 non-inverter ($1830)..

I heard dat ME is quieter but salesman said its becoz of the fan speed. But fan speed slower means the condenser unit doesn't cool down so much..

He actually recommended LG coz the EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) is higher and provides higher BTU at 25k. (Recommended by NEA)

ME is very popular but is it becoz of the brand or is it really very good? Initially we oso wanted to go for ME but now not sure..

Anyone can advise? LG or ME? :P
