Help! My Glossy Homogenous Tiles Are Now Matted...

Agreed avoid the blue/brown bottle sold at ntuc, it has a bleaching agent inside, cannot be used on glossy tiles, will make them matt

found some solutions online,

http://www.howtocleanstuff.net/how-to-remove-acid-stains-from-marble/

1. baking soda

for fresh stain,apply generously on the stain and wait a couple of minutes. DO NOT rub too hard as it may damaged the tiles.

2. baking soda paste

for more stubborn stain. more powder less water. same application as using powder. repeat if needed.

3. ammonium solution (10%)

for old and stubborn stain. mix ammonium powder with water and spray onto the stain. wait couple min before cleaning off with warm water.

 

marble and tiles are both porous so maybe will work? anyone tried before?

Then the other type of polishing is for those harder materials like granite i presume?
