Kitchen Drawers: Undermount Tracks Vs Tracks With Side Panel

Recommended Posts

Would like someone to shed some light on the following.

Consider these 2 drawers:

and

http://excelhw.com.sg/kitchen/soft-closing-drawers/excel-dtc-d1-mb.html

The first one has a weight limit of 25KG, whereas the 2nd one has a limit of 30KG. Apart from that, what other differences are there?

Does the 2nd one provide more stability and rigidity? Afterall, the base is still wood right?

I'd like to know is it worth paying almost 3x more for the 2nd option, which of course, looks better as the side panel appears to be metal, vs fixing the tracks under the wood drawer in the 1st option
