  1. Its basically the common problem between top and bottom neighbors.

My MBR toilet is experiencing leakage due to cracked floors from my top neighbor's MBR toilet floors. The water has already damaged the layer inbetween my unit and my neighbour.

We have agreed to do repairs to solve the problem once and for all.

HDB already quote us the price (shall not reveal here).

However I believe I can get better quotes from direct sourcing.

    Basically:

    1) repair the layer

    2) tiling work for neighbor's toilet floor

    3) repaint my MBR toilet ceiling

  2. I started my own thread to ask but nonetheless will copy it here.

    Here goes:

I am expecting to take keys during year end. My upcoming house is a premium BTO, which comes with flooring and bathroom accessories and tiles all done.

Therefore with this said, actually I have nothing much left to do except for painting and carpentry work.

Luckily for me, I have direct source/lobang for the following below, so therefore I can save quite abit already.

    1) painting

    2) carpentry work

    3) electrician/electrical work

However, here is the problem. As I am poor with designs and color matching, I would still need someone who is able to design a layout in drawing and measurements for me so that I can get my sources to do their work.

    Questions:

    1) What are my options here ? I do not want to be chopped carrot by IDs, premium price. How much to pay for a freelancer designer to consider reasonable ?

    2) What possible potential issues that I may encounter if I don't engage a contractor or IDs ? I know I will then have to fork in time and effort to coordinate the project myself. Besides this general problem.

Which area of the reno process will I be possibly hit with a problem ?

  3. Hi there alvissae, fyi. If you click Summer Forever, you will notice that this RT forum user's last logged on on 03/02/2010. Dun think you will get any reply soonest or at all.

Just start your own blog and announce that your needs. Ppl or/and reno company will respond.

I am also looking for direct contractors but actually the contractor either specializes in hacking & tiling work or carpentry work. Meaning, if they do internal biz in tiling.....they sub-out carpentry work and electrical works.

I have gotten a few contractors. You can pm or eMail for more info.

    rgds,

    evelyn spencer

    PM you..... :)
