  1. Engage them only if:

    1. you have too much money
    2. you like to do your own interior design
    3. unresponsive ID
    4. unprofessional ID with no design vibes

As for the lifetime guarantee... yea.. so far so good.. if you do not mind waiting for almost 3 months (and counting) for them to rectify a tiny shoe shelf and there will only be updates when you chase your ID

  2. Lise, sorry to hear about your unhappiness towards S&C.

But my experience with them is totally different, I felt that they are people who gives very good service.

IMO, people can go to them IF you can afford the time for them to rectify.

    1. Some of those IMM furnture shops, you pay more and you might still end up with the same problem also.

    2. When my furnitures came, 8 out of 10 I rejected. But I accept that S&C is willing to accept my rejections with very very good attitude. I think it's important that a furniture company accept my rejects and rectify the issues that I had.

    3. We should know the quality of what we paid for. Am not saying that because we paid less, we have to accept bedframe that make sounds when we get on bed. (That's what is happeneing to mine!) But when I call Mervin and told him my problem, he did not say: Aiyah is lidat one. Which I felt alot of people just this kindle reason. He told me to give him time, he will come down take a look, which he did yesterday! After seeing, he told me to gv him some time to rectify.

So i felt, for people who is rushing, pay more and get your stuff from branded shops in malls. But pls don't think that when you buy from them means no problem, you still may end up same problem.

For me, I still have time, but hoping to do my house wamring soon thou. What I look at is this person's way of doing business, he didn't shoo me away even thou I was abit petty with the flaws of his things.

In return, I compliment him that my purple sofa is really stunning.

I took some pictures of my furnitures but don't know how to put it up. Can someone tell me how to do it?

I wasn't rushing but I think a 3 months wait is not justifiable

  3. did you buy this range?

no i did not, i showed him another design from Lush. When I first went to place order, he said his men will go down to Lush to take a look but apparently he didn't becoz the end product is totally different frm what I wanted.

I am extremely disappointed with S&C. After much delay, all the stuff that i ordered (sofa, ottoman & dining bench) are wrong. I specifically told him i do not want croc/snake skin pu leather for dining bench but he delivered that. The design of the sofa is totally wrong too.

now we have to wait for another month and I have a feeling it will be delayed to beyond 1 month and the end product will still b wrong.

everytime i call melvin, he sounds distracted. I wonder if anything i'd said registered in his busy mind or not.

to those who want to get S&C to customise furniture, think twice.

  4. Eh ? for the tv console to be black in color hor, will it be too dark ah ? cos i'm thinking of doing my feature wall + tv console to be black also leh

also you hide your storeroom behind ? cos i can see there's a door there leh

hmm.. Not dark leh somemore our floor is dark coloured too. That's the entrance to kitchen :)

  5. Yah the HDB tiles are not that good but it is still acceptable, so let us make the best of it!

Haha, we're not hacking but going around to admire our FC neighbours' reno and also offer encouragement and support. It's a process that we all have to go through as we settle down in Fernvale so it's good to share. :)

Don't use brute force! Will only injure your hands. :( Those sticky markings can be easily removed using thinner liquid (a bottle from hardware shop costs about $2.80) or those lighter refuel fluid.

    thanks for the tip! :D

  6. very nice!! how i wish if time can turn back..then i dun opt for HDB doors and tiles...

eh i notice 1 trend leh, me and TB reno completed then we start to roam ard in RT and hack pple blog leh..especially FC blog. wahahaha

Lise, tell you hor, must ask yr ID plumber to remove the red/blue sticker for you after they install those taps. We forgotten abt that and you know those tapes have been ard for donkey times and it's very sticker and have to use lots of force and CIF to clean off the adhesive..so get yr ID peeps to do it..wahahaha.

u can change few yrs later lor :D

    Thanks for the reminder!

  7.
