Hi, my bathroom sink is choked, water is draining very very slowly (now is totally choked after the plumber left). Have tried using chemical sink cleaner and checking if anything stuck below in the pipe below the sink but nothing works. Today got a plumber in. He did not even check the pipe below the sink, straight away he used a metal rod with a spring at the end and poke the drainage hole next to the toilet bowl. I was told there could be cement pieces stucked in the piping and there is nothing the plumber can do. Basically there are only 2 options: 1)Do not use the sink permanently (which is impossible, we have just shifted to this place 1.5 years back and still a long way to go) 2)Ask a contractor to re-route the piping (have another piping route that runs from the sink along the bath tube to drainage hole). But this could mean the piping will be exposed along the outside of bath tube unless hacking is done to conceal. Any one has similar experience? Dun quite understand why the plumber don't have to check sink first. Should I go ahead to get contractor or seek 2nd opinion from another plumber (got to pay for transport for assessment)?
