    If machine kaput now my wife got somebody to help her ...

    Better reduce chances of me ending up being stuffed into the LG Tromm...

    If already know, consider this instructions to suck eggs..

    On delivery, ensure the four transit bolts are removed after arrival just before siting.

    These bolts work like a sports bra

    helps prevent important bits from bouncing around when moving.

    Keep them for when you need to move machine to another house.

    The Courts deliverymen were quite thorough setting my washer up.

    But they have other deliveries to do too..

    Nevertheless have to still ensure the machine is level and sitting rock steady.

    Check for wobble by pushing on opposite corners.

    Quite easy to adjust washer feet with the supplied spanner.

    If you have spirit level lagi best.

    Best not to let machine touch adjacent cabinet if you have space.

    Before use, run one or two maintenance washes.

    Don't use spirits or solvents to remove any gum residues you may see.

    (Mine was around the rim of the drum very close to the door rubber seal.

    It went away after two washes. Solvent will eat the rubber.)

    Always check pockets for coins or keys before putting in washer.

    Turn clothes inside out if no soiling on outside.

    Hang clothes inside out to slow down fading.

    What type detergent to use?

    Unlike my wife, I don't believe one detergent fits all especially the "whites whiter, colours brighter" claims.

    She likes to use the liquid recommended for people who live in submarines.

    Detergents can't tell which is stain which is dye.

    Best to use different detergents for different loads.

    Whites/Light colours/Beddings/Towels/Maintenance Wash

    Powder detergent is best.

    They contain bleaching agent.

    Good for stain removal and sanitary for clothes and machine.

    Cuts down on mould, goo,slime,gunk,grease buildup.

    Usual suspects are Persil and Spin.

    Can try Fab white bag or others as long as

    lalelled for front loaders or low suds or HE (like anti-tank round like that)

    Premium brands are:-

    If Greenie - 7th Generation

    If America Rules! type - Tide HE

    If wear wool or silk, choose non-bio so won't get holes.

    Coloured clothes

    Liquid low suds if you like.

    Thinner is better than those thick gooey type.

    Tide HE liquid is the thinnest but also pricey.

    Washes great but the smell can be better (to me at least)

    Black and Dark colour Clothes

    Perwoll Black.

    Liquid is not black in colour.

    Great at preventing/slowing down colour fade.

    Don't use this if seasoning new jeans also

    Don't use this and then hang dark clothes in direct sunlight afterwards.

    Defeat purpose.

    Not widely available though.

    Last I saw a few bottles at Giant Tampines.

    Fabric Softener

    No favourites but don't use on towels.

    Nice to have soft bouncy towels.

    But better to have them good at absorbing water from your body.

    For all detergents, start with recommended dosage.

    Fine tune by looking at final spin water thru porthole.

    Should not be too foamy or sudsy.

    After using machine, soak up the water pooling in the door rubber seal.

    Should not be much, about the size and shape of an Ikea pencil.

    Also keep door open if possible to prevent mould buildup.

    Just check drum for anything thrown in before next wash.

    (kids may put toys inside)

    ok.... firstly i am still looking for a good FSM.... and had not enaged one before since i haven gotten the keys to my first new home =)

    So these are just my opinion:

    If this master is so commerialized to even advistised in a magazine........ how is he/she different from those people that setup shops in major shopping centre. i mean some of you might have notice, nowadays fengshui shops are flooding most shopping centres. And what they do is they hire some china/msian/sporean girls/aunty and openly pull (hardsell) customers to come into their shop for 'advise'. If you have time you can try going in......... they charges only $3 for 'name reading"? then comes the hard sell buy these and buy that.............

    and these 'famous shops' practically has so many article/advertisements you can see them everyday in the chinese evening newspaper................

    but anyway....... $1888 i just feel is toooooo ex...... simply becos it a condo?

    anyway....... i ask the master zhang mentioned in this forum........ i read some good review from him....... he quoted me $468 or $488 (i cant rem) for my 3 bedders condo. and from the forum, i read that he's someone who will not ask you to buy anything from him = not extra charges

    thats the reason i find that $1888 is expensive. =)

    when i was choosing my wedding dates, i went to david tong. he charges $100 for my dates....... then he analysize my husband and my bazi........... then we chat for like 5 hours regarding fengshui...... i mean....... these are the things that started 'without money involved'

    :o i just gotten a quote from Master Clarice Chan (fengshui advisor for SimplyHer Magz). For my 2+1 condo, she's charging $1888. Bazi analysis is at $188 per pax. Is this the market rate or what?anyone tried her?

    hmmmmmmmmmmm......... toilet cant be at north, south, east, west, centre........

    then how?..... somemore nowadays one house comes with at least 2 or 3 bathroom wor........

    hahahaha...... best to remove all bathrooms and use the pulic toilet.......... =P

    the article seems so scarly...... maybe can help suggest what should we do? like buying some items or putting any fixtures? =)

    my in-laws INSIST we use their SHIFU...... u know la old people always tot we youngsters dunno anything....... but they always believe in what their friends say

    but the thing is i DO NOT trust my in-law =) i know i will not feel safe unless i find a shifu myself........ because what happen if my in-laws just go ask from any people who claim they know feng shui?

    i mean i wanna respect them becos i dun wanna put my husband in a hard position.

    anyone here engaged 2 FSM for their house? is it adviseable to have 2 feng shui shifu?

    May I ask, is the company name W*** and the lady S***, who is a senior designer? I encountered the same at IMM some months back, she was quoting some $57K for my 5rm reno while others are quoting around $20+ to $30K+.

    hihi.......... yesyes........... she's the one........ i still ask her nicely out of 'act-interested' can she lower her price........ she's like...... 'for me....... slightly la.........." zz

    after a few days of finding ID......... i decide that maybe i do not need an ID anymore.....=)

    becos my apartment is small, every ID is saying the same thing about design.......... and i can say some doesn't seem

    sincere to do my business becos im only doing the living and master room.

    but there's one particular company in IMM really shocked me. I can say its a very famous company, and the lady who attended to me is a middle age lady who sounds very yaya......... and of course.... very ridiculous price. just to share.... she quoted me the changing of fabric of my bedrest is $1020. i shall show the pictures later....... and there's many many more other shocking figures.... =(

    3) or meet him at my house ( but i haven collect my keys, so must wait till collect keys)

    its so sweet lor....wished my hubby same also....hahhaha...anyway both of you will get to choose the bedsheets together now...

    ya lor.... u r such a sweet husband............ never one time my husband is interested in all these kinda things........

    when we ROM.... he din even remember when we r ROM.... and wedding is next year..... he dun even know when is it......lol

    when we look for house..... my husband never ever one time look at the newspaper or internet.... and..... when we buy the house..... he like it becos of the house number... haha

    now renovation coming..... he also everything also dun wanna see.... he just wan the walls in white colour

    but also good for me la..... everything i do what i like and he just pay pay pay.......haha

    im gonna collect my keys in 2wks time hopefully, my ID is from chew interior which is just down the road. they are having GSS now with quite good discount. i was there last nite to see 3D drawings and will go down again next wk to finalise so that they can start work once i got my keys.

    bring your floorplan to any ID and ask for quotes. i only visited 4, and i decided to let chew do as they know what i want!!!

    btw yours is a resale, am sure the owner has done quite a fair bit. mine is new, have to do all from scratch!!!

    pm me if you wan the ID contact. you can come my place to see if you want when the reno starts.....anyway i believe you already have an idea what u wanna do with tons of ideas from here. set yourself a budget and a theme and you will sail very smooth from there. remember, some ID gives u ideas and advise you what to do or not to do, some will do according to what you want. choose wisely pal.

    just to share, once i start using front load, i will not change back to top load washing machine, unless got space constrait in my new house.

    front load is veryvery quiet....... im someone who cannot stand noise...... esp when drying..... front load is so quiet...... compared to top load...... top load is like having an earthquark.....

    congrats my pl also at joo chiat....

    talk to seller to let u start reno first since it's vacant, or pay her a month's rent so you could speed everything.

    oh good........ we shall go for the white pepper crab sometime then =)

    and dun think i wanna rent from her la....lol......gonna cost me a few k.... i rather wait =)
