You need to engage a clerk of work also. Normally, to rebuild a house, it will take from 10 to 12 months. Before awarding a contract to the contractor, it is best to draft out a point by point note on what items are needed to be done and the type of material....etc. If not, without black and white, the contractor will say he don't know about the requested items after the contract are being awarded. Must have some spare money for your whole project beside the amount allocated for the whole project. There will be bound to have changes to the cost during the cost of building. Try not to save on the cost of engineers which I make a mistake on my project.

All I know is any telephone line need to be adsl enable before you can subscribe to an adsl plan. There is a charge by the teleco to enable the adsl on the telephone line. Microfilter is use for all the telephone outlet that is not connected to the modem. (It is require as it will stop the internet connection to be disconnect when a phone call come in.) Unless your internet plan is on Maxonline which you don't need a telephone line.

I got a quotation for a key phone system and it cost 4k+ but I think it is too expensive for a home phone system. I am more worry about the key phone system that will cause problem with internet connection with adsl line.

Last weekend, I saw some of the mattress advertising in the newspaper that the cost of king size mattress is 7k (most brands) and the sale price is 2k plus. It was reported in the newspaper about town council going to install a device that will improve water pressure on those living in higher floor. I think new estate have to wait.

Storage heater don't solve low water pressure. The first two year of staying in my new HDB(or longer), the water pressure was not as good. Then the town council install a device at the storage tank to improve the water pressure. So far so good until the device is turn off, then the water pressure will be lower.

I saw one in South Changi area(can't remember the showroom name). I think it is a round bath tub with rope around it. The cost is around 20k if I am not wrong but was sold.

Is the developer mean that the main data point outlet(outdoor to your unit) or are they refering to data outlets in each room in your unit. Best is to clarify from them about what they say regarding getting the revelant data service provider to connect to your unit.

When you purchase the condo, I am sure there are spec on what is included in the unit...etc. First time hear that they don't provide cables inside the data point. Luckily they provide you with electrical cables...oops better don't give this type of developer any more ideas. If not, next time you have to pay for this and that and what they going to exclude for future project.

I don't know but I am not happy about such thing. I had bought a 3k chair before without other charges. I guess it is their company policy, so I didn't want to do business with them.
