Hi all, didnt expect i will be back on this forum again since my house reno 2yrs ago. Now is helping my bro to ask for his upcoming new house. Not too sure about the market rate now for new hdb as i did mine is resale flat. He got a few quotations and it seem to me this is the most cheaper one. Can anyone help me to see whether is the quotation ok? Market rate is around this pricing?? Thanks!

jus to share my story. i went dwn to the jalan besar branch to purchase 2 lightings for living n dining room. the prices are really attractive. the salesperson who serve us wasnt really professional bt i am still ok with it.everything was fine until the setup of our lights. we did the setup ourselves. for dining room,we brought the 3 hanging crystal pendant.fixing till the end,short of 1 crystal. i really didnt expect that.was disappointing.
then the living room light, was another disappointing thing. we brought a hanging pendant design. when fixing we saw there is alot of burnt mark outside the pendant. this is confirm unacceptable so we call back n guess what the salesman told us ? "we can exchange another one for u bt i can tell u it will be the same cause the products are all like that ". what does they mean all like that n why didnt the salesman told us at the first place? i was really disappointing. he told us to bring it dwn to exchange n collect 1 of our hanging crystal.
nw i am afraid that the material is nt so gd n it wont last long. i am blaming myself why in the first place i finding cheap stuff.. do u guys have the same thing as me? he told me alot customers also complain about the burnt mark. pls advise what i can do. i really sad upon seeing the lights. 1 more thing. the salesperson didnt told us about the lucky draw thing. do u guys fill up forms for the lucky draw or u all auto in ? my purchase was $600 plus n i dun think it is a small amount. ty.

Your reno quite fast.. when can move in?Contractor say by end of next week will complete bt we will shift in
only next mth.
Slowly shift our things in first then set a day for housewarming.

nope.. they dividing the kitchen.. dinning table is in the kitchen..oh no wonder the kitchen cabinet look more shorter.
if the dining table inside kitchen then it will tk up the space.
hmm...gd design too. me headache on mine .
i guess my appeal will end up the same as u.have to start planning again.

Told my ID to appeal already.. hope can get it approved..He was really optimistic loh, he said this makes renovation more interesting because you might get even more ideas when things dont go your way..

The floor tiles seem to be in quite good condition, going to change them? Kitchen seems a bit dark though.
all tiles will be keeping except for both toilets.major reno for toilets.
kitchen is dark.dunnoe y bt once window open will be better.anyway choosing white for my cabinet to mk the kitchen more brighter.
is my kitchen wall tile very old fashion? scare it wont match my cabinet.

I jus purchased the package ytd at Parkmall branch. Really gd service
from the lady Jenny.Sofa + coffee table + bedframe + queensize mattress
+ the $49 beanbag = $2185. Really very please abt the pricing and gotten
freebies too. She is a patient lady n really no black face when i bargained
with her. If anyone wan to purchase the package and do not wan to buy
the beanbag pls pm me cause thinking of buying another one. Thx.

Are you going to choose tile? Tile price can range from $1.5 to $9(or more) psf. Hopefully your contractor is not giving u the low grades ones.Carpentry, solid ply or compressed?
i think is solid ply.gg to choose tile this sun.i shall see.

half hr fire rated door: i was quoted between 800 to 950 from contractors. I see no problem in u getting it less than 1k.if u had already confirmed with carpenter then nothing more can be done except praying? haha...do let us know of the outcome, he might turn out to be a gem!
cause gt budget so gd or nt still have to tk since the prices are cheap.hope he is a gem.will update again.

I did my home Reno on 2010. Can search my Nick to read my blog. My bro did his on 2012. Then recently my friend was looking for a contractor and I intro mine to her. Went to her housewarming and everything was nicely done. She was very pleased with the workmanship n comment that my contractor is a responsible guy. Would like to recommend to others who are interested in looking for good n reliable contractor. Pricing wise. I not sure how cheap is it as I did mine on 2010,can't compare the rates against 2014.
