  1. Hi, I want to install my 5room unit with aircon.. What brand and type will you recommended?

    1) Master Bedroom - need inverter aircon 9000BTU

    2) Bedroom 2 & 3 - need roughly 9000BTU each (Normal system)

    3) Living room - Need roughly more than 9000BTU as need to serve larger area space. (Normal System)

I guess I need 2 compressor to serve the above unit.

Do also quote me with the latest panasonic aircon system inverter and system 3 normal system.

    Can email me at anthen83@yahoo.com.sg

  2. Thanks Anthen for the information. I appreciate it. :)

Initially I thought the whole service yard wall can be hacked off since it's not drawn in bold on the HDB floorplan.

Maybe I will just hack my wall into half like what you did. It will still provide kitchen with wind from the service yard windows.

How much did you pay for the hacking etc for that piece of wall?

I was quoted by $150 for hacking the wall by half, dismantle of 2set lourve windows and swinging glass door. And also apply to HDB for removal of kerb between the kitchen and yard and level the kitchen and yard if approved.

  3. Has anyone hacked the wall between service yard and kitchen area? I noticed newer HDBs have that wall.

I like my house to be airy and bright. Somemore my new kitchen is going to be tiny. Will HDB grant the permit to hack the wall between service yard and kitchen area?

    Thanks.

Yes it can be hack off. But pls note if there is any pipe running across the wall before you hack off the wall.

For my case, I hack off the divider wall vertically by half. meaning the divider wall that comes with lourved window & swinging glass door will be removed. The another half will remain as one of the kitchen pipe is running across the wall. I didn't noticed it until my contractor pointed out to me. It can block the ugly sight of the main pipe behind the wall.

One more thing to take note is the raising kerb between the service yard and kitchen. Some of these kerb are not supposed to be hack off as from HDB officer unless valid reason.

  5. Hi there sgnick... mine just handover 1 weeks ago...from IR Design....ID Roy Tan...good id to work with...

can look at my t-blog for his works..... cheers.....

So Roy have set up his own firm IR Design?? In this case, there should be a new thread on IR Design instead continuing on this thread.

Quite confusing for us who are looking for ID.

  6. I had a bad initial experience with one of the ID when i visit them at EXPO 3 weeks ago. Floor plan was given to them on that day. Also indicate to them my budget as well as proposed works to be carried out. They did call me and i went down immediately despite my packed schedule to meet up with my clients. What they only show me is a freehand floor layout but with no rough costs as they can't commit. Being understanding, I told them to do up the cost of the proposed work and either call me or email me and i'll willing to go down to their office a week after call/email acknowledge for further discussion.

But till now, I still waiting for their quote and no news at all.. No email, no call, no sms. I guess i gonna drop them and choose someone who willing to renovate my unit.

  7. I went down to expo too.. was half-hearted in taking up the package offer during the expo.. ID Sean bring us around the mock showroom and even shows us lots of design which they have renovated in the past.. But the comments here does not reflect them well.. But not sure about the workmanship, service and co-ordinating provided by them?

    Anyone engaged them before?
