Hello, Newbies here. I'm staying in 5-room HDB resale flat (17yrs old). I am thinking of converting store room door (which is at 1 corner in the living room) to some what hidden door. The idea is - remove the existing door, leave the door frame (metal) untouched. Replace with custom-made wooden door with 6-in depth built in display shelf attached. The way the shelf attached is from store room inside area and when the door is closed, the shelf is not protruding and looks like built-in cabinet type. Do I need to get HDB approval on doing this? I know that the doors can be changed without permit, but this is hidden type. Alternatively, I can attach the shelf on outside of the door without even changing the door if there's a permit issue. Appreciate your help! delight
