  1. Just want to ask the opinion of the people who have installed Black Galaxy Granite Top, does your Black Galaxy Granite Top have any or a lot of small holes/pits on the surface? You can actually see it against the light or if you run your fingers over it, you should be able to feel the holes on the surface. My Black Galaxy Granite top has alot of this small holes on the surface... Does anyone's Black Galaxy Granite top surface is completely smooth with no small little holes?
  2. Hi hi weeee... nice reno progress and pics you have there... May I know what is the brand of floor laminates you are using? I quite like the colour... Btw... I'm from your neighbouring cluster, Damai Grove... and in punggol.org forum too... with the same nick

  5. Hi Kerio, Out of curiosity....is the aircon fancoil unit for the living room good enough to cool the entire area? I see that you have quite a wide area for the Living/Dining/Foyer area. Is the kitchen enclosed... i mean by glass panel and doors...from your pics ...i supposed so? What is the rating for the unit in for the living room? Thanks!
  6. Yup...the new toilet bowl definitely looks much nicer the tap sticking out from the top of the original WC looks like an eye sore ...looks more like those water cooler taps...imagine...some1 tot water cooler and drink from it
  7. yup...guess will have to check with my contractor to discuss on the options first...thanks!
  8. Hi BlurRhino, our toilet sink is of the same design as yours... we are also thinking of wrapping around a vanity cupboard with top...but now seems like it can't be done Sigh...got to fork out more money to change sink now...
  9. Hi Kerio...i'm sorry to hear that you have so much issues with your new home even after you have moved in... it is really frustrating to have bug infestation, especially when it is a brand new house.. Hope you do not despair and everything will be alright soon I was think whether if there is any paint that is anti mould and fungi will be able to help prevent moulding? I'm not sure if you just buy a small can and paint along the pipings will it help? Or if there is any anti-mould spray solution that can be sprayed on to potential infestation area? Just think of some ideas to help ... sorry I couldn't help more as i do not have much experience on this before.. Hope everything will be back to normal for you asap! Cheers
  10. Hi Kerio... your house is all nicely done up! Your feature wall looks nice Finally you have move in already?
  11. It is indeed hard to find such a good carpenter... if the overall worksmanship is good.. then the overall experience will be even better and the carpenter is indeed a rare gem
  12. Glad to hear that everything is progressing well now after the long suffering ... Wish you a smooth moving in soon...
  13. Hi Kerio...this will be a tough week for you ...but I'm sure you'll pull through it At least some progress is being made today... hopefully your ID will be able understand the criticality of the situation and will buck up and prevent the things from blowing up further for their own good.
  14. Yup...floppy..you are right...heard abt this contractor too...30 households....can't imagine that...really hope the contractor will be able to fullfilled their promises to their customers...otherwise it will also reflect very badly on them...
  15. Wow... you have a lot of carpentary stuffs.... and you manage to do a WIW in the master bedroom?... cool....
  16. Thanks for the link Floppy! Hmm... seems like hacking of kitchen wall no need to get PE... but the wall I wanted to hack 1/2 height got a beam above so dunno if it is considered RC structure or not... sigh...if need PE...means needs to pay more $$ If you refer to the pic of the unit below...you'll know what I mean... the L-shape wall i wanted to hack is with the power socket below and the single brick on the floor
  17. Hi Floppy... congrads! Finally your HDB permit is approved. Now your reno can really starts to progress... Err... so there isn't a PE needed for hacking walls in your case? Actually under what circumstances will a PE be need....pardon me 'cos I'm still quite blur on this Actually I'm considering hacking 1/2 height at one of my kitchen walls to make a bar counter when I get my keys probably early next year... but dunno if PE is needed or not
  18. Well said Kerio... even if one didn't take loan and pay in cash... it is still hard earned money at stake... no less...
  19. Yup... that's right.... sandwich between P.Lodge and the LRT
  20. Hi BlurRhino and future nearby punggol neighbour (i'm from Damai Grove) dropping by to say hi while doing my reno research b4 i get my keys... wow that guy run in the opposite direction? haha he failed topo...couldn't get his bearings right...
  21. Hi Kerio, I would suggest you now need to constantly monitor your ID's progress on the rectifications now since it is only less then 2week to handover. Make sure the major ones like flooring are rectified, otherwise when your stuff starts coming in and it is still not rectified....it will be very inconvienent and messy to shift things around. I would guess it will be better to get stress out for this 2wks to make sure everything is done properly than to stretch the agony if things get delayed further... especially when your stuffs comes in .... and our HDB 4rooms are so small... more headache... btw you got your aircon from gain city or...?
  22. Hi Kerio... just send you a PM... but not sure if it goes through your inbox or not?
