  1. I went to Premier Lighting. They have no price tag on the light. The sales guy send me the quotation by email later. I went to the shop again the next day but didn't meet that guy & I ask the sales girl for the price & found out that the guy quote me triple the price of their selling price for living & dinning light. And also between S$50-$60 for the bedroom light. I was lucky that I went to the shop without calling that sales guy. I left the shop & never go back to them after that.

hi, try to go Joo Chiat Place, the one opposite guan hoe soon restaurant, my parent like to buy from there, price reasonable and boss is nice & friendly also, can take picture some more...hehe...

  2. Our ID brought us to the same shop you bought your lighting! The initial assurance that they will give us huge discount. The salesgirl even said "Dun worry, we will sure give you good discount since you bought a lot from us." We are 'lucky' that they only gave us S$26.00 discount because we just walked away. We went to buy our lighting today at the shops near chinese garden. Total savings S$500.00. The ballast and bulb (Osram) are of good quality.

why only ID are being entertained ? Just because they are a bit more pro ?

  3. Not sure if this was mentioned before but most contractors will all go to Choo Chiang (CCM) to get their lighting needs.

For your own safeguard, you may call CCM for pricing of your lighting products (bulbs, tubes, holders, downlights, switches, etc) as they are very open about it. Subsequently, you can do a comparison with your contractor's quote to gain an insight to how much more he is charging you for installation.

are they selling decorative lightings or more on electrical accessories ? lightings fixtures contributes bigger cost compare to accessories !

  4. I think some time have to fair to customer or home owner, we pay to ID/Contactor to help us for the renovation, end up never think that they together with shop to make extra money from us. :furious:

ya, same goes to those carpentary works, ID vs Carpenter, their price are so much different but the end result are quite similar and cost is about 30% lesser. This is what I encounter when we refurbish my parent's house kitchen cabinet.

  5. suppose to follow one of my friend there to buy the amasco ceiling fans...after seeing all these review, i think i got to give it a miss. thanks guys for the valuable review.

    Hi,

ya, my parents almost want to buy from this Palace Light, but i found out thats one lighting shop at Joo Chiat Place, No. 55 (opposite Guan Hoe Soon Restaurant), my parents have bought few lights from them early of this month after much survey at balestier & geylang lighting shop. This lighting shop prices are reasonable & friendly sales service also.

you may want to go there and have a look.

  6. Hi all,

Every one talking about lighting, I have a question, if we buy a chandelier, is it come with the bulbs? I have been to Gaylang light's shop, some said yes & some said no and most of them said have to buy. Is it true?

    Hi,

I think it's depends on the lighting shop itself, I also asking around but answer given are various, some give, some have to buy. not definite answer.

  7. Hi,
