    Hi All,

    Need your quick advice for the quotation that I got from 1 ID.

    But after I reviewed it, seem like the quotation bit ridiculous especially on payment term and it's not negotiable for the term.

    Anyone has experience to build new brick wall for 2.5 meter length? He quoted me $5,200 for it...... Is it so expensive just for 1 brick wall?

    Demolition Works - $2,800

    Supply & Lay 30cm x 30cm for Kitchen - $2,800

    Cement Screeding whole wall at kitchen - $1,800

    Supply * overlay 30cmx30cm floor tiles for 2 bathroom - $1,600

    Supply and lay 60cmx60cm tiles for living, dining and 3 bedrooms - $12,000 ( ask for how much is for 1sqf tiles)

    Supply & Construct kitchen base, shower kerd for 2 bath room, fridge & washing machine base - $500

    Electrical Works (re-wiring only follow design floor plan) - $3,500 ------ Too Expansive

    Supply & Install 2no bedoroom door with level lock - $700

    Supply & Install 2no bi-fold door at 2 bathrom - $600 can be lesser

    Payment Terms

    - 50% upon signing and confirmation

    - 25% upon commencemnet of works ( 2nd payment is after hacking is done)

    - 20% of commencement of carpentery works at factory ( its always after its fixed at ur place, not as it is ready at factory)

    - 5% of upon completion

    I guys, date no improvement. On 12 May I call him 3 x, and msged him. No reaply, at night I SMS him 'r u testing me'. He got angry with me and reapllyed he will run way if I keen on pushing him. And no one will be able to do anything about it.

    Wat dos that mean? He is so strong that nathing will happen even we make report? So wat dos the Police n Gov doing ? Everyone say Sg is a safe place to stay if any one try to be funny will have to pay for it. I don't think so, if ppl like him can reaply that way.

    Come on ppl how many of u guys out there got it to the same problem n got back ur money?

    Hi guys, after more then 3weeks he called me. That was when I got his add and my bro n me when to the add to look for him. He was not around, there where ppl at home told us that he as gon out. We dint say that thing to them, we just informed them that as Id to call us back. After that day then he called me.

    When he called me, he say he got send out Email to me about his missing. Which I didn't not get. Then he sayed he will meet up with me in 2 days time.

    We meet at the place where our Reno is going on, he looked very sad and not feeling well. I asked him wat is going on, it's beer more then 1 month any work is done. How long more do I have to wait? He toled me that he will start work in 2 days.

    The 2 days came, but no one to work (Reno). Call call.… no ans. Next day he SMS me and toled me that he got no funed now, will start work Monday ( 9 May) which is tml. I called him today no ans. Can't one can tell me will his work start soon? I can have a very bad time 17k!!! How can ppl do this? How come the gov not doing anything abou it? Such this have been happening for may years.

    I read about making a report is nathing to them, then how to get back the money. When then, end of the day I have no place to stay until I have a toilet! I am staying with my mum n dad who are old. They also can not sleep well cos of this reno. I am worred and hopeless.

    Hi,

    Anyway I don't care... Just want to make sure those who read this do not use this ID...

    the company name is YI VOGUE DESIGN located at SIM MING

    The designer name is DERRICK CHONG.

    It was introduce by someone. Before sign, he is very friendly and attentive to your request and question. Offer nice advice on deisgn.. After signing, work progress is rather slow. However, I thought this is normal. Anyway as there are some progress on the renovation I'm ok. However, he keep asking me to pay up all the money. After paying, he don't bother to answer his hp, dont bother to reply my SMS. And don't even bother to come to finish the rest of the touch up.

    Now I need to get some other contractor to finish up the touch up. Please help...

    Then as a coustermer how can we get back our money? When we look for other ppl we still have to pay them rite? there is no way we can get back the money is it? How about making a police report? will it work?

    Hi,

    I am looking for a contractor to do the remaining touch up work which my current contractor didn't complete it.

    I try to call by current contractor but he keep giving empty promise and didn't turn up to finish the uncompleted work.

    I already pay him all the $$$ in the contract. <img src="http://www.renotalk.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

    Please help... I really regret giving him all the payments.

    I am have seemlier problem with my reno, my house have to be ready by this Thursday 27 march, but till today only half the work is done. For the past 1 week no one work, I have been calling my Id every day for at list 5 time. He never picks up my call r SMS. To date only 1 toilet tiling, 70% of wirering and WC pipes have been changed. Still got 1 more toilet, L-box, main door, main gate, and works at kichen. What do to? Pls help? My Reno only 17k, I have already paid 15k! I cant sleep for past 1 week.

    My masterbedroom toilet door is frosted Glass door. And the salesman told me that common toilet door cannot be frosted as guest will not dare to use the toilet (can see the shadow of the person inside) Therefore he recommended that a white sticker to stick at the inner part of the glass door. My concerns now are :

    1. As it a open toilet shower area is very near to the glass door. Will mold and algae start to grow at the edge of the white sticker?

    2. Cleaning of inner part of the screen must make sure the clothes that I'm using are super clean if not the paper will turn black?

    3. As it a shower room, will the hot water steam slowly peel off the stickers?

    The salesman told me all these will not happen? But I'm in doubt. I would wish to hear from those who had the white sticker pasted on the glass door to tell me abt their experience?

    If not can someone pls help to suggest what I can do for the glass door other than the white sticker. And sad to said that this co. only have one kind of frosted film. And it definitely not abt to block the shadow (privacy level).

    I am into glass work as well. Yes the frosted glass is not like you can not see any thing, as you say can see the shadow of the persons movements in the toilet. As is it in your master bed room, I think its ok. Most of the time when there is a guest, they will use the comment toilet. If you using the frosted glass, ask for acidic frosted glass. So that its easy to clean when there is shop on the glass. Normal frosted glass not able to clean that well. After some time you can see the colour change.

    The other way will be use a white pray glass, never use a sticker for the toilet. All the problem you mention will happen, if not now later.

    I've engaged the services of Logan, who does moving on a freelance basis. He charged me $150 for moving about 12 pieces of furniture, which I find reasonable. Very pleasant and friendly guy. Even took the effort to ensure that all my furniture are shrink wrapped properly.

    Not sure if he charges extra for more than 1 location or more items, so might need to check.
