Hello guys, I have a 3 speed ceiling fan running slow due to a blown capacitor. The capacitor is CBB61 5 wire 2uf 2uf 4uf, connected to a 3 speed pull chain switch. I tried Sim lim tower and king george ave to hunt for one but failed. So I was wondering whether I can replace it with 4 pin 4uf capacitor and avoid the pull switch to get it run in maximum speed? there are 5 color coded wires coming out of the fan into the switch bay! If you need any additional info I can provide that too. If yes how would the connections go? Appreciate your help if you can! I know I couls call a repairman. But what is so DIY about it?
