if the mould has gone right into the silicon, meaning its been there for a very loooong time. its not possible to remove it all. the only way is to scrap off the silicon, clean up throughly, then apply new silicon again.

ya, if your bathroom always wet, then must scrub once a while. the grouting will change color over time...thats for sure. i dun scrub often and probably dun intend to thats why i chose a darker coloured flooring, so when the grouting colour changes, it will flash together, not so obvious. hehe..

yep, actually i would like to try out these smaller hotels, i heard some are new and very cosy too. but would prefer somewhere nearer to their MRT. got or not ah? thanks TYM. if i can't find anything suitable, then i'd juz go for this one.. abit boring...coz stayed in this hotel in other countries a few times liao.

errmmm... i'm not too sure. i guess we need water. do u mean big mirror in the bathroom means we require water? how to not reflect the toiletbowl??? even though the mirror is above the vainity top, when i stand in front of it, i can see the reflection of everything (other then below the vainity cabinet lah) behind me, and that includes the WC

i see. does this only apply if the mirror is facing the door directly? coz i have a full wall to wall mirror in the bathrooms but it does not face the door directly. my fsm say the mirror 'the bigger the better', so ok lor, do big big one

maybe u wld like to try "bang", i use it to clean the shower screen maybe like once a mth.... to get rid of the soap stains. other times, if i'm very free, i juz use a newspaper and water...same for the mirrors. don't have to scrub the bathroom walls bah..unless got algea growing? if got, juz use a brush and water, it should come off easily. my bathroom maintenance super easy. when i vacuum the whole house (once a wk), i also vacuum the toilets on the way (of coz make sure u only vacuum if its dry! unless your vacuum cleaner is wet & dry type. vacuum the bi-fold door tracks too, so dust and hair and fur (dog's fur) dun get trap there. then i mop the whole hse... on the way also mop the toilets 2/3s of my bathroom is mostly always dry, since we have the shower screens. once a wk, i'd wash the common toilet with diluted dettol. only wash the common toilet with dettol as my dog uses it, so i feel the need to 'disinfect' it once a wk. other times, i spray spray with water to clean it.

there is such a thing as good debt and bad debt. to me its all about balance. i swipe swipe swipe my CC whenever i need to or can (meaning unless small amt or must pay by cash lah) but i also pay the bills without fail each month. and i feel happy whenever the gal/guy over the counter asks me 'mdm, do u wanna use your Uni$'.. or when i redeem my rewards...vouchers, gifts etc. makes me feel that someone else is paying my discounts for me. haha..

From what I understand... place something 'wooden' inbetween will help. but in hdb this is difficult, i mean, can u imagine, how to have something of a wooden structure inbetween right in the middle of the kitchen right? keke..not practical. so probably have to shift the stove or the sink. but if u shift the sink, make sure that the water pippings do not run under the stove, as it defeats the purpose. better to get some professional help, stove placement is 1 of the most impt in fs i think, cannot anyhow place one.

the aluminum is sand-blasted i think. not advisable to paint over leh... well, u can lah, but its not gonna last and will come off in no time. then will look very awful lor... patchy patchy. if u really hate it, better to change lah. but i think after a while u get used to it, it won't bother u as much liao. coz mine is green and at first i dislike it, now its ok... hehe.

when u put your clothes in, dun compress them, juz throw in, then when almost reach the top, that should be about full load or slightly lesser already. if your load is only half, then u can do altogether no problem. if u overload your washer, it will indicate... if u choose the options 'synthetic' or 'cotton'.

i think u might have overload your dryer... thats why took 4-5 hrs i have this LG too. it has a built-in sensor, and if your load is not dry, it will extend by half hr intervals...and con't to do so... until it 'sense' that your clothes are dry. i think the max is 5+hrs do u wash full load clothes (8kg) then dry the same amt of clothes (8kg) or u take out half load? yep, "CD" means "Cooling Down", i normally dun wait for it to CD and auto off as it takes too long (unless i totally forgot about the laundry. keke), i juz power it off, according to the LG people, its fine to do so. and yes, the door cannot be opened right away (takes about 1 min), initially i find it quite irritating, now i'm used to it.
