  1. cant agree more on the above!

for the free gift part - i guess if they are giving some free services like part of the hacking/installation/labour as free should be fine... not like hacking will cost a lot more...

i suppose we need to exercise some precaution to certain fine details in order to know that we're not taken for a ride. My ID actually sat down with me and went through every single details to ensure nothing was left out. At least i know he's not leaving out ny single detail.

as for the laminates mentioned, i recalled he had shown me more than just EDI and Lam Chuan... there're Jennings and some others too....

good luck to those looking for IDs!

Do the IDs restrict the no of times we can change the 3D design or they will change as many times until we are satisfied with the design ?

  2. I ordered my bathroom accessories from GR Link Marketing @ 155 Jalan Besar. The boss, uncle Benny is very helpful and he clarified our queries with patience. The price is quite competitive too.

I also bought all my bathroom accessories from GR Link Marketing. Customer service is very good but I am disappointed that the stainless steel racks which I bought rust within half a year despite Benny assuring us that it would not rust.

  3. U shd not have given the sec trip money to him.... Can u provide his HP number here?

I want him to help me move.... Let see who play who....

Mr Lim Hp No : 91836392

That nasty Mr Lim is the owner of Goodness Movers. When you call him for the quotation, he will come quickly and he is rather polite. Once he gets yr business, his true colours will show. Hope you can teach him a lesson. Thank you.

  4. Need to vent my frustration i feel cheated... DO NOT engage Goodness Movers.

Talk to this Mr Lim on the phone very nice and humble everything ok no problem and even said will give discount since i am only moving a few blocks only. Told him what i have and he say can do in 1 trip. In the end it was like a bloody nightmare.

    1. they made 2 trips when it could have been done in 1trip if they dismantle my wardrobe properly (they just dismantle parts till can fit in the lift). charged for 2nd trip.

    2. 2nd trip to just take a few items and some workers tried to keep for their own. lucky i saw!!!

    3. dented my fridge and deny it say it was like that when they moved it. my fridge is new few months old only!!!

    4. deposit $50 for carton boxes never return me. say come next day so i unpacked everything but the worker come collect his toolbox only and say no money come next day but never come!!!

    5. call the Mr Lim also dont pick up my calls anymore

    6. the workers also smoke and **** at my place throw cigg butts anywhere!!

    7. no discount as promised and was suddenly very fierce shout and scold

Heed my advice and do not engage Goodness Movers! Dont get cheated like me.

A leopard never change its spots. That Mr Lim is still the same. Promised discount but never give. Collected deposit for carton boxes but never return deposit. Does not answer calls. He was recommended to me by Big Orange. I thought if Big Orange recommended him, he must be reliable. It was a mistake. He probably bribed the Big Orange staff. He is a nasty & hot tempered person. Don't ever use him even if his quote is the lowest. He will cheat you of the deposit.

  5. Never engage this mover ' Goodness Movers'. They never kept to their promises. Had a nightmare with them, guys beware.

Totally agree. Too late when I read your post. Dishonest company. Very rude boss. Horrible service. Promised to give us a discount when we reused him for the return trip but he did not. Said his empty cartons are free but need to collect a deposit. But when the job is done, he refused to answer your calls to collect back the empty cartons and pocketed the deposit. If I had known, I would have changed mover for the return trip from the warehouse.

  6. I heard from my ID that solid surface is not one full piece. The best thing is you won't see the lines...

How about Caesarstone ? My Caesarstone can see the joint lines. Just checking whether it is normal. Thanks.

  7. Dear gurus,

Have a question that needs your help.

Am trying to move out of a 3 room HDB temporarily so that I can get reno works done, then move back in again. Would be needing to store both myself and my stuff during the whole timeframe of the reno process. Am now considering what are the options available for me.

    1) rent one of those storage spaces to store my stuff, then store myself somewhere else, for e.g. a hotel

    2) rent an empty HDB where I can store both my stuff AND myself

For second option, what is the minimum period of stay required at the rented HDB? Would I be allowed to move my stuff in? Considering fridge, TV are part of the "stuff", i.e. not minor stuff.

Would like to hear any of the folks here who have executed similar stunt before.

    Thanks, gong xi gong xi!

can put your stuff at a temporary storage space but stay at a relative place. Otherwise, if you stay at a hotel, it would be quite costly.

  8. Try Kwong Ling Frame-maker;

I've got a personallised 180cm x 56cm aluminum framed mirror for $150 (inclusive of delivery). Goodluck

Thanks for the info, dexufto. Will check it up.

  9. There're some slight hippcups on my reno..woodwork not able to complete in time...hence my moving date ben delayed :furious:

Shalom advise there's penalty charges as we failed to informed them 7 days in advance for change of date. Total penalty cost ard $800+, luckily ID was kind enough to absord this cost. ID advise that he need another 1 week forjob completion, thus shifting change to next Sun.

Wah! That's very ex. Did Shalom inform you of the penalty when you hired them ? No wonder my mover made a lot of noise when I changed my moving date twice. The 2nd time I only gave 2 days notice. But luckily he did not impose any penalty.

  10. When do you normally sign the handover form ? Do you sign it before all the defects are rectified or when you move back to your house ? There are still some defects to be rectified but the ID says he can only do them after CNY but he wants me to sign the handover form and pay the balance money. I am not going to pay him the balance money but I am wondering whether it is ok to sign the handover form. The form states that I am satisfied with the works done.

  11. I am looking for a full length mirror for one of my bedrooms. Anyone knows where I can find it ? I've seen 1 at Ikea but they did not have the color I want. Also, I am hoping to get a nicer one.

  12. The 3380 Espresso is part of CaesarStone Classico collection. I am unable to tell you the go direct cost for CaesarStone; as for SilesStone you can approach Builders Shop. If you are getting CaesarStone through your ID, there will sure be mark up, the question here is how much. If you are getting the kitchen cabinet from this ID, best get the CaesarStone through them cos if you go direct and screw up the dimension, i guaranty you will cry like a girl.

Tks, got it thru my ID. Is the Classico collection under the standard or premium range ? Sori, if my question sounds silly. At the back of my mind, always feel that my ID mark up quite high.

  13. SilesStone is anti-bacteria; CaesarStone is not. The price range for both brand is between $150 pfr for standard range and $250 pfr for premium range; this price is estimated go direct price, if you get them through your ID or contractor, sure to have mark up from them.

Hi albertchng, is the color code 3380 Espresso the standard or premium range for CaesarStone. My ID charged me $250 pfr. What is the direct price ? Thanks.

  15. I engaged an ID firm for my reno of 4room flat 3yrs ago. The ID never even provide any design ideas to me, instead I've got to tell her what I want and provide her a drawing.

At the end of the day, I never see my ID there unless meeting up for payment.

I think I was there to do the coordinating work more then my ID.

Even the contractors are complaining that the ID is always nowhere to be found and never instruct them what to do. In the end I gave all the contractors my number and they call me directly if they have doubts and get the job done immediately instead of waiting for my ID.

Now that I'm selling my house and getting another one near my parents. I think I might as well go for direct contractors. Same headache anyway but at least can save on ID that does nothing.

So please, if you have any lobang of direct contractor please PM me their numbers.

    Thanks.

Should tell us who is the ID and the ID firm so that the forumers can be warned. Thank you.

  16. I sourced for 4 contractors, he is one of the better choice I felt. my requirements have been changing quite frequent and quotation wise was kinda reasonable. you can view their designs online or check it out at their place.. it was quite impressive as well. moreover, I have check it out with another person which was managed by him previously. and comments are positive too. :yamseng:

Think it's better for your renovation to be completed before you highly recommend him with so many posts.
